Its because you were spamming the chat channel with "lol" messages, ban removed but dont do it again please.

I play with MOD on an almost daily basis, and he's always been an awesome person to have in the game... great ally, formidable opponent, and I've never known him to spam too much. I always thought his LOL was somehow bound to an autotaunt or something.
That being said, there's a handful of people who constantly spam taunts and fire weapons on the vote screens, despite being asked many times to stop. (this really sucks coming through my Klipsch 5.1 THX certified speakers or headphones) These people are the real offenders... is there anything that can be done? When youre trying to communicate to your team (orders etc) and there's a barrage of

over and over from button mashers that can't stop having bindgasms in-game it can really disrupt gameplay. I'm not talking about taunting people or autotaunts... there are players who just hit binds over and over and over... we shouldnt have to shut off taunts just because a few people can't control themselves...

Some of them get dealt with some don't . We can't be on 24\7 but we try :).
Majority of them get a warning and if they persist they get removed .If it gets to the point it's very annoying call your local Admin or post on the forum .

I agree, thats why i removed the ban, though the admin did warn him and he didnt stop, mustn't have seen the warning in amongst the spam :p

... I "Roger That" Shred :)
"I like these calm little moments before the storm" (Leon)
... during vote, often ruined by some kind of trigger happy that kills my hears (use a headphone). The other day day I told one he was a future client of an audio-prothesis technician. He calmed down...
But I admit I like to place a "That had to hurt" when someone kills himself with a SLV or a redeemer that I manage to avoid (which is not often...)

after being abused during some games but ending up winning I like to spam 'too easy' over and over.
but I only do that after taking a lot of sh!t from some llamas.
I have all taunts/messages switched off in UT - the only ones I see are typed or from the more professional ut players that tell you where they are with the flag or where the fc is headed.
me absolute fave was 'boom!' followed by 'SURPRISE!' on the Face only server when telefragging snipers :D

Taunts can be a good way of distracting your opponent... by placing taunt during critical and strategical moments in the game you can, if you're lucky, get your opponent a bit irritated. When the opponent is irritated, he/she plays badly and and you'll win :)
so Habouji everyone!! :P

Just in case someone doesn't know yet: Preferences -> Audio -> Play Voice Messages: No Taunts. That means: You still hear (and see) all voice messages *except* the useless taunts. No more annoyances, no more confusion, problem solved for all times.
And I have a little button on my keyboard labeled "Mute" which I press when the game ends, so I don't hear the weapons (not even my own ;)) while voting.
