just jumped off a MP server and user name 'B4ackfr0mH3ll' or something similar was just a little 'too' good, been seeing on a few other forums that aim bots are already up.

can anything been done about this as yet? ok, i get beaten by most people, shed, zacc, recoil, oxy ...... actually, nah, not Oxy ;) but it's pretty obviosuly when someone isn't hiding it and just blatently flaunting it.

But certainly putting a downer on a so far fantastically run set up from MP chaps.

On short you admins or 'peeps in the know' know if there's any .ini checks or anti-wall hack/Ain-bot faetures in server side UT3 main game?

The AnthChecker thing is pretty good I think, and I've often seen people appear and get kicked instantly, then found out later they were cheating. I have faced someone with an aimbot before, but it was only once, and brief. (Problem is, I didn't find it much different to playing against most people, because I'm such an easy target I don't tend to stay alive very long whoever I'm playing against!) :v

I was playing against a chap the other day who was running around claiming to be an aimbot, but he wasn't, he was just a d*ck.

We spotted the first cheat within about 6 hours of the demo being released, however the demo has zero anticheat, that will come with the full game we are told. We do have admins spying the servers and are spotting what we can however it's difficult with so few admin tools available for the demo.

Backfromhell is a known long term botter.

As other have said, there are no useful admin tools for the demo which allow us to manage them effectively - there's not even a fixed query port like every other multiplayer game. No webadmin, no rcon style remote control - and ucc.exe wasn't even included which means that there is no way to build third party tools. Epic kinda let the admins and server hosts down with a broken release in many ways - multiplay had to rebuild their entire system to integrate it with ut3 and many other hosts had huge problems getting servers to share a box.

I imagine multiplay will ditch all or nearly all the demo servers when the full release comes out and then we can start working on proper admin tools. There's really not much to recommend the demo once the full game is here.

In the meantime, coming to #mpukunreal on quakenet and calling for an admin with "!admin" might result in somebody to come and ban somebody off a specific server. (calling !admin from game doesn't work, unlike 99 and 2k4)

I always suggest not to talk about cheating in public too much. It only draws bad attention and increases paranoia, especially among new players. Cheaters are annoying, but I find everyone accusing good players of cheating even more annoying :)

Unless somebody other than Wormbo will start making anti-cheat it seems like we will be entirely in Epic's hands for UT3, since Wormbo doesn't seem to be inclined to do anything for UT3 as far as anti-cheats go.

I can understand that there MUST be a third party tool to use aimbot as normaly all do but i learned gradually when i was playing counter-strike that people nowadays do some colour coding aimbots that are done in MFC C++ and it very efficient compared to the old bots.

I realised this also works in UT and any other game (i.e. mmorpg/FPS i tried on)

This bots are operated as macros and they work as a desktop tool which all say are undecetable... love to hear from u all on this anyway...
