Yes we do indeed hope to be able to offer CoD4 servers.

As yet we do not have any multiplayer code with which to test, thus we have no idea what resources it will use and what sort of price to charge.

This information will not be available until much closer to release.

I'm 3 days away from our server renewal atm, i was wondering is there a posibility that we could change our cod2 to a cod4 server using the clanforge application. or be able to pay more in adition to what i payed for as a cod2 server to turn it into a cod4 server should it be more expensive

To make any changes to your service you will need to contact us, preferably by raising a support ticket in the Clanserver-Billing queue at http://support.multiplay.co.uk

Once we have a working CoD4 clanserver package available, we can indeed work out conversions from CoD2 to CoD4. There will likely be price differences, so the exact details of what we can do wont be known until we have CoD4.

Do we have anything further on this? Its only 4 days until full game release so surely you should have a working copy of the server files by now or are they stalling?

We are currently assesing the usage of the server. Once we have these figures we shall release pricing. The game isn't released until Friday 9th November.

PS. This game is ACE. Best Multiplayer FPS this year imo

Sorry my mistake for some reason i had in my mind it was the 6th.

Look forward to the details coming out and i agree it looks like its the best FPS to come out in sometime, shame its going to be followed so quickly by Crysis!

I found the following information on Inifinity Wards forums yesterday, So hopefully the pricing shouldnt be too bad!

Hardware + Bandwidth Requirements
---------------------------------

Bandwidth and server resource usage should be lower than that of COD2 in most situations, but it is not guaranteed. There are some situations where bandwidth usage may spike, and the server will get hit harder than usual. Generally, if you're capable of hosting a COD2 dedicated server you should be just fine for COD4.

got a 22man one atm to assess what we require its name is 'Multiplay.co.uk::MCYS.de' I think.

Ordered it at around 2pm was working around 6pm now thats quality service :D . It has beaten me as i don't have the game till 2moro

Nice i got a 20 man to start with see how things go might upgrade if i start packing it out (Multiplay.co.uk :: GG|Clan) mines called 1 of my m8s got hes copy throw the post today hes on the server now :( i hate him lol
