where do you extract the map pack to?

I downloaded the huge map pack so i wouldn't have to wait ages to play maps, and extracted it to SvenCoop/maps, but when i go onto the game and join a multiplay.co.uk server playing a map i didn't have before i still have to wait to download the models and wad files, have i extracted it to the right place? Is there a file in the map section i need to extract it to?

you extract it to your half-life folder, not within maps

no problem. Did you remember to remove the map pack from the maps folder?

I dont know but when i extracted it to the half life folder i think it just replaced them, why what happens if you dont or does it just take up more space?

I'll take up another 4 GB of space if you leave the one you extracted to the wrong place there.

Go in the maps folder. The ONLY folders inside this should be:

steam
won
graphs

Now click search. Search for *.wad (WITHIN THIS MAPS FOLDER ONLY)

Easy way to select and delete all the wads from the MAPS folder.
