Is it just me or is in comman, I would say about 80% of purchases I make doesn't matter what it is or where I get it from it is never 100%. Either is faulty and has to be returned, or items missing.

In the last 2 or 3 months I have bought a few things ..

Childrens Car and Train Set, Toys R US --- Missing 30% of product
FEAR Addon, Gamestation --- Serial Code Sticker missing from inside
30m Hose pipe, B&Q --- missing hose connector .. had to "acquire" another
Panel Bath/Shower Screen, B&Q box says chrome product is cream
WindScreen Wipers, Halfords --- both have physical damage
Peekton DVD Player, Pixmania --- HDMI and Power LED do not work
JVC Amp, Ebay --- Missing Manual and connectors (though sold as NEW)

I don't know if I am just super unlucky with purchases or it just common that nowadays customer satisfaction is a distant second

JVC Amp, Ebay --- Missing Manual and connectors (though sold as NEW)

It's just you. I don't find that I have anywhere like as many problems as you do.
Do you open up the box to check before buying, or open it up immediately after buying to check the contents? If you do it there and then in the shop, they have no room to turn around and say you've used it and you can ask for another one.

With the Glass screen I got that about 1 month ago only just opened it so ive had to ring the manufacturer to ship out the missing items.

The vac It worked when we got home and tried it less then a week later it packed in.

Another item I can add to my list is the ASUS Striker Extreme board OMG what a buggy board, atleast im not the only one with the error though (do a google for CPU INIT), but anyways a big shout to www.pcspecialist.co.uk who exchange the board for a new one 3 months after I purchased it no questioned ask they just said that they will add that to the other 30+ that have to be returned!

Not sure victor more this guy

For the love of god i hope you buy on credit card. the issues of retuning stuff must be ****

Jez_Gafys

Yes the issues are annoying

The my vac I was able to easily take back to currys. The shower screen I had enough of even though they were sending out the missing items it was gunna take too long so I took the item back to B&Q got me £109 quid back and went to Homebase and bought the same item cheaper :P

But any ways Im still cursed my new dining room table came on Tuesday on Wednesday I unpackaged it and take a look at this table top. Thats supposed to be solid Ash Wood top but it's truely fecked. Logged the fault with the company and they asked for pictures.

WindScreen Wipers, Halfords --- both have physical damage

I couldnt help but chuckle at that one.

Not only is that table top not as advetised, but it looks bloody awful :\

I think the only problems I really get with buying is due to incompetant fastfood workers, so I now check my orders before I leave the till. Might be worth checking the contents before you leave the stores

I know your pain!

I take it by fecked you mean it has a big split down the middle? Or the fact it's made from strips?

Jez_Gafys
12th October 2007, 12:34
The split down the middle is because its an extender, I am on about the pattern down the left and centre the right hand side is fine. Though u can see the marks it looks worse in real life

Oh I see. That does look a bit bad.
