All very well but this is for stratlan, not the i-series.

October shouldn't be too bad for camping imo. Unless it takes a chilly turn between now and then.

However the sleeping areas are fine usually!

DOH

BUY A PROPER SLEEPING BAG (4 season) AND I GUARANTEE YOU WONT FEEL THE COLD.

Also, you're warmer in a 4 season sleeping bag, the less clothes you're wearing (no im really not lying, i camped in the andees at -5 this way, and i was toasty warm...)

you wimps.

and gemini, can we take you up on the anthrax offer?

I SUGGEST AN EXPERIMENT

however, all experiments need to be performed more than once for verification, and i nominate Lonewolf as a backup victim. I mean test subject.

I wasnt moaning about the cold.

It was more in the way of me despising everything about camping

setmode rant

The fact that its cold is one thing. But you have to put the tent up yourself, if it rains then your going around ankle deep in mud, all your belongings get damp and cold and wet, you cant cook inside so if its raining or something then you need to go get a takeaway, you cant look after your personal hygene propperly, the showers are in a public toilet, and cost money and are almost always freezing cold, you have to cook your own food, make your own bed (literally) and **** in a bucket. Plus not forgetting you get eaten alive by flying piranhas.

What part of that sounds like fun/comfortable to anyone here ?

(To see a very good film about just why I hate caravans / tents / camping / the great outdoors, watch Top Gear - Season 8 - Episode 6) Just repeat everything Clarkson says.

Hardly any of those points apply to LAN camping

You obviously havnt seen these new tents, in fact ill bet u they are set up before u are.

if it rains then your going around ankle deep in mud, all your belongings get damp and cold and wet,

Were not talking about camping Ray Mere's style here m8, tents are now waterproof, welcome to the 21st century.

you cant cook inside so if its raining or something then you need to go get a takeaway,

Everyones gonna be eating take away! Beer and takeaway is the whole idea around Lan id of thought no?

you cant look after your personal hygene propperly, the showers are in a public toilet, and cost money and are almost always freezing cold, you have to cook your own food, make your own bed (literally) and **** in a bucket.

Negatory, ill be going to the toilet on the side of ste's tent, unless i need number 2, where i will perch it nicely on his pillow :)

Plus not forgetting you get eaten alive by flying piranhas.

Most of em will be dead, as its winter

Well tbh - I camped at 32 and there was no problems at all - apart from bob trying to destroy my tent @ 5 am in the morning!

We can camp closer to the building this time i guess as the racecourse wont be a camping site to all the public!

For a truely good nights sleep use your car ;D

Tried this at FBL once, even with a big-ass estate and the seats folded down with an inflatable matress it sucked ass - the temperature changes were even more extreme than a tent.

Oh, and my alarm kept going off :(

I was gonna mention something like this too...
I don't know why people seem to think sleeping in a big box made of glass and metal will be any warmer than a tent.

A decent tent, a decent sleeping bag and half a brain and you're probably going to be warmer than if you were sat inside.

Btw, Gemini, most tents have built in floors, or at least ground-sheets these days. Beats the blanket thrown over a bit of string that you seem to be used to :P

I shall be camping. Purely for the alertness in the morning feeling, stepping outside a tent is an awesome hangover cure.
