MPUK News
13th September 2007, 14:25
StratLAN 34 has now gone live and what an exciting launch it is as we announce that Kwari (http://www.kwari.com) will be testing their game in a location outside of the Kwari offices for the first time.
Participants in the beta can expect real cash prizes and plenty of free beer to boot as they become involved in testing one of the most exciting features of a StratLAN we've ever had.
To find out more check out the StratLAN 34 minisite (http://www.multiplay.co.uk/infoshow.asp?id=447) or if you're convinced already, go and sign up (http://www.multiplay.co.uk/signuppage3.asp?event=86)

I am looking forwards to playing the beta even if it is for only 2hrs.. I like the idea of skill based games; and I'm curious about how this one will work vs. other providers out there (like tournament.com). To be honest, this looks more my cuppa tea as it is not team based so it's down to my own ability to play the game, rather than relying on others to win/lose.

Then don't come! Or just come as a spectator for the Friday night. It's hardly our fault you're busy on the Sunday :p

I'm not saying it is! You're just hinting at 'more stuff' and I was under the impression there was going to be a big announcement :( No disrespect to the Kwari guys, but its hardly the 'people will want to sign up on the basis of this!' announcement that it was hinted to be :p

No disrespect taken, and it's a very fair comment. However it's not every day you get to play something brand new and potentially win some cash as a result.
It's entirely optional if you get stuck into the game or not, and having been to StratLAN previously we know the form so won't be getting in the way, we're pretty certain the experience will be fun.

Much like the porn industry, most people choose not to use their real names in Multiplay (probably for similar reasons).

Reasons like they dont want to find out that daddies little princess is selling herself for money?
I dont see how that applies here?
Besides Rocco and Ron Jeremy were already taken. :D
