Rumour has it the closed phase of beta testing began Monday for a lucky few (or not so lucky as im hearing) with many many bugs to be fixed again.

Open Beta Invites will be coming in the following weeks via competition wins and other means. I shall try to keep you upto date when and if an open beta application appears.

Open Beta keys can be obtained by winning one of the GPGNet daily tournaments. Or taking in part in at least 10 GPGNet Tournaments.

Me and Siteslammer got our names confirmed for getting a Beta key yesterday. But they havent released the application or the Open Beta yet.

Yup I am in closed beta at the moment, still some work to be done before Open Phase but they are hoping everything is on schedule still.

You got into the closed Beta. GOD DAMM YOU (shakes fist!)

So if they're on schedule, when does the schedule say the open beta starts? LOL.

Beta testiing isn't as great as lots of people seem to think it is. You get terribly buggy code, things change about, you get to see all the things that had great potential but they cut because it didn't work. Plus theres a lot of reporting and repetitiveness if you are actually doing your job. Really it spoils the fun of a whole game. I would never do it again. The betas that most people see are more like a last minute demo.

Well it is mainly a balance testing beta, thus the top 50 or so players are all working on it and yes there is a ton of feedback required.

It's a more complete beta phase than you'd get with say an early mmo beta test. However yes there is inevitably bugs found, things changed but its all in the interest of making a game we love balanced and ready for the masses.

The game is absolutly awesome currently, I just hope when balanced it holds its same enjoyement and things dont get axed.

Yeah we took part in the Supcom Beta a while back. I remember that T2 Artilery use to take seconds to build, now it takes much longer than it did in the Beta. There was a lot of feeling that Supcom wasnt ready when it was first released. It was slow performance on even a Dual core originally.

Personally i love Beta testing as i get to give my 10p into what i think should be changed and what not.

But hey, roll on the Open Beta.
