When you first enter a game, you have to select a faction. You have three different factions to choose from,
where each map supports two of these factions: USA, USSR and NATO. You can also choose Auto Select to be
automatically placed in one of the teams. Once in a team, you select one of four available roles: Armor, Air,
Infantry or Support. Each role has a range of core units that have different strengths and weaknesses. Once
you’ve selected a role, press “OK”.
At this moment of the game you can order units. Click on the “Reinforcements” button in the upper right corner
to open up the menu for unit deployment, and then click on the units to order them. You can order more than
one of each. You can also select units from other roles than your own. To do this, click on the other role
tabs and click on the units that you want to order. To finalize your selection of units, press the “Deploy”
button in the bottom right corner.
After this, your ordered units will arrive at your Drop Zone in 20 seconds. To move the camera directly to
your Drop Zone, press the Space key. You can also move your Drop Zone by clicking the “Drop Zone” button in
the “Reinforcements” menu, and placing a new Drop Zone on the highlighted area along the edge of the map.
Your units are marked with green markers, while your allies are blue and the enemy is red.
--------
The Game Modes
--------
There are three different game modes available: Domination, Assault and Tug of War.
DOMINATION
In Domination mode, two teams are fighting over domination over a number of Command Points that are spread out
across the map. The team that controls the most command points will push the Domination bar to its advantage.
The team that pushes the Domination bar to its opposite end, or the team that holds the majority of the Domination
bar when the time is out, wins.
ASSAULT
In the Assault mode, there is one defending team and one attacking. When the attacking team takes control of the
first Command Point, a second Command Point will appear behind it. When the time runs out (or the attackers take
control of all CPs), the sides are switched and it's the defenders' turn to attack.
TUG OF WAR
In Tug of War, one long Command Point act as a frontline. Your team needs to control all Perimeter Points (circles)
at the same time to push the frontline forward. The map is won when one team pushes the front line all the way to
the other teams side.
--------
Command Points
--------
Command Points are marked with circles. Each Command Point consists of two to three circles: Perimeter Points. To
capture a Command Point you need to place at least one ground unit in each of the Perimeter Points. A neutral
Command Point is white, a Command Point captured by your team is green and a Command Point captured by the enemy
is red.
--------
Fortifications
--------
Whenever you capture a Command Point you can reinforce the Perimeter Point with fortifications. To do this, you
place a ground unit in any of the connected Perimeter Points. Once the unit is inside, a construction process will
begin within that specific Perimeter Point.
There are three types of fortifications – machine gun fortifications, anti-tank fortifications and anti-air
fortifications – and they are built in that particular order. A Perimeter Point can only have one of each
fortification. Players can choose to build fortifications in any or all of the Perimeter Points, given they have
units to place in the Perimeter Points.
--------
Reinforcement Points
--------
To order units you have to spend Reinforcement Points. All units cost Reinforcement Points. At the start of the
match you have 4000 points available and another 2000 incoming. When you buy units, your available points decrease.
When units are killed, you get the points back in the incoming pool, so that you can order new units again. The
maximum limit for Reinforcement Points is 6000 points.
--------
Special Abilities
--------
All units have different Special Abilities. These Special Abilities are designed to help your units survive battle
with the enemy. The Special Abilities vary from powerful attack abilities to evasive or defensive abilities that
can help you survive or escape an otherwise lost battle. Don’t forget to use your Special Abilities!
--------
Tactical Aid Points
--------
As you play and capture Command Points, you are awarded Tactical Aid points. These can be spent on various powerful
weapons, such as air strikes, artillery barrages or tactical nukes. To use your Tactical Aids, press the “Tactical
Aids” button in the upper left corner.
The Tactical Aids are divided into three groups, one supportive and two damage-dealing groups. All of the weapons
can be ordered in three different strengths, each higher level increasing the Tactical Aid Point cost for the
delivery. Whenever you deploy a tactical aid weapon, there is a delivery delay, so make sure that you synch it
with your enemy’s location. Take care not to hurt your teammates as well – Tactical Aid weapons do heavy damage,
regardless of affiliation.

There are many functions in Massgate, some of the
central things you can manage are Clans, Gangs and Friends.
--------
Clans
--------
A clan is essential for players who want to team up against other players in serious, competitive play. To form a
clan, go to the “My clan” screen and click “Create”. Here, you can choose the name of your clan, your tag and how
this tag will appear next to your username.
--------
Groups
--------
Groups are, unlike clans, just a group of players that enjoy playing with each other. You can be from different clans
and still be in the same group. Groups help players play together and to join the same server. Each group has a
special chat channel that is only visible to the members of the group. You can invite a new player to the group by
right clicking on him/her and select Invite to Group.
--------
Friends
--------
Much like groups, you can add friends by right clicking on players and click “Add friend”. Your friends will show up
in the Contacts List menu to the right.

You control the camera position (placement) on the battlefield by pressing the W, A, S and D keys
(controlling forward, backward, sideways left and sideways right movement respectively). You control the
camera direction (what you look at) by moving the mouse cursor to the edges of the screen, or by pressing
and holding the middle mouse button (scroll wheel), which enables mouse-look.
You select things in the game by clicking on them with the left mouse button. You can select several units
on the battlefield at once by pressing and holding the left mouse button and then moving the mouse, making
sure that the target units are inside the created selection box.
You give orders to selected units by clicking the right mouse button somewhere on the map. The mouse cursor
will change contextually to show what the effect of an order will be.
