<rant>
Ok so monday i ordered a pc for my dads office, it all went quite nicely. I recieved my first 2 messages saying order confirmed and payment taken, then nothing. I was also quite confused at why they could not take orders upto 6:00 like Dabs or microdirect, but i was happy with the items arriving wednesday.
So, 4:00 today came, no emails ..... 5:00 nothing, thought i would login to see what was happening "your account cannot be found" umm whattt ???? "this account cannot be found" well thats fantastic. So now i cant login, i dont even know if the items are arriving tomorrow, and i really needed them for tomorrow as i have to go in and setup the machine on the server. And ontop of that, even though i signed up at i30, i didnt get my free delivery :(
GRRR what is going on, i mean it was £800 so its not like a small order, if the items dont arrive tomorrow i think I'll be going back to Micro Direct.

You don't need to login to check your order with scan, just use the order number from your email and see what you get.

Sounds to me like the order might have gone to security checking, if you are registering in your name and using a different credit card and perhaps a different invoice and billing address, they will flag it for concern. Especially if it's your first order.
He didn't say you noobed it up, he's saying you DIDN'T thus it's their fault. I 'd get on the phone myself first thing in the morning and ruin someone's day good ;)

hmm, ok well I contacted them, "well the wairhouse people cant find the motherboards" .... great so all this boasting about real stock not virtual warhousing isnt much cop if they dont have good stock control :S / muppets in the wairhouse, and i asked about my account and they said yea it works ... even though i cant get access to it "try again later"
OHH and to top things off an email came in this morning saying "there has been a delay on your order" Why this morning? why not yesterday? they have had 2 days to tell me why tell me on the day its meant to be delivered. I took a day off work to be here for the delivery, if i had known yesterday that there was a problem i could of moved the day to Thursday. GRRRRR  it even said "due to high volumes of orders we are experiencing delays in our warehouse" umm no you just cant find the damn items :\
So at the moment im awaiting a call back lets see what their resolution is to this problem *sigh*
Otherwise, its goodbye scan order and ill place it with somone else, gave them a chance and they blew it just like they did last time I ordered off them, 2x 6800 GTO's was promised they would work in SLi but alas ... they didnt and it took them 3 weeks to refund me even though the items were sent back to them next day.
Very unhappy :(

Well 1 hour has passed ... no call ... so I've spoken to a nice lady at scan didnt lose my temper :D and said "I've had enough I'm canceling the order" think she was worried that i was going to kick off :awesome:
So ordered from dabs as Micro direct ran out of the Q6600's :(
Came to £50 cheaper for better ram and psu ???? and will be arriving tomorrow :)

I don't order anything from scan if I want it delivered on time (I have actually driven there to collect something rather than the terrible delivery record.
ebuyer on the other hand, ordered at 7:30 pm arrived at my house at about 10am next day! sometimes you just have to weigh up the benefits of free delivery.

It seems you were very unlucky. I've had nothing but positive experiences from Scan and started using them more and more. Ok, for urgent items I wouldnt use them becuase of the "sorry as we are busy we didnt send your order" that happens, but otherwise the experience so far has been positive. Anyways, it's far better they told me they didnt send it, than to make me think it is coming when it clearly isn't.
If only I could do something about City-Link who seems to decide on the day if they can be bothered to deliver parcels to me. So many times parcels dont arrive and when I contact the local branch I get "there was no-one there" or "the driver ran out of time", excuses. :(

Well its the second time ive used scan and the 2nd time they've let me down :S kinda worrying tbh but still. Citylink are good in my area, i have the happiest delivery bloke in the world i think lol can hear him coming as he whistles a merry tune :P
but still bit worrying that scan charged me £12 for postage when dabs just charged me £11 for next day ???
Ah well, if they have an item in the future i'll give them another go, but ill probaly stick with microdirect for most of my large orders Ipoints FTW :D

I ordered an item at 12 noon on Thursday 16th and paid £10 for next day delivery
It came on Monday.
I just rang them up and they're "considering" refunding me the carriage - bearing in mind that if I wanted it this week I could have got it for free delivery - but they've not said they will for sure yet.
They'll let me know by e-mail today if they're going to refund the carriage or not.

Hi Mark,
I am writing to follow up our conversation. I do appreciate what you're saying and I can see that you originally requested delivery on 17/08/2007 and paid the extra to have the delivery made on a Pre-12pm service by Citylink. The Estimated or Requested delivery date for this service to take place was originally calculated to be 17/08, but it was delayed 1 day due to the volumes we had in the warehouse. We are experiencing a large backlog at the moment, due to a massive expansion and restructuring project of our warehouse coupled with an unusually and unexpectedly high volume of sales for this time of year. Despite the major disruptions of the building work and the additional pressure from the increase in volumes, I can assure you that our picking team is working as efficiently as possible to clear through the backlog of orders and we are doing our best to get people's order to them on their Requested Delivery Dates.
Whilst I do appreciate your request for a full refund of the delivery charge, I'm afraid that if I was doing my job as I should, I cannot honour this as the service you have booked online is an Estimated delivery date. The part you have paid extra for is for Citylink to deliver Pre 12pm rather than 9am-5.30pm, and this is a service you will still be getting from Citylink. The Pre 12pm service will admittedly be 1 day delayed beyond the Estimate we originally calculated for you online but you will still be having this Pre12pm service and Citylink will still charge us for it. If your parcel arrived at say 3pm this this would of course put a totally different light on the matter as we would have failed in the service type we charged you for. I hope this makes sense and doesn't sound pedantic in any way - it's not meant to be. It's simply a new service where you can Request a delivery date and if necessary upgrade to a guaranteed time during the day. The only part of the service which is a guarantee is the time of the day and as I say you're still going to have that service. I think the thing that has made this seem a lot worse is that it went on a Friday which meant that next working day was Monday, so the delay in fact seemed a lot longer as it went over the weekend. Please be assured I do appreciate what you're saying and I can see it from your point of view.
I can assure you that we do understand the importance of prompt turnaround of orders and I would like to assure you that the turnaround on your order is not a reflection of our normal standard and it is purely down to excessive volumes. We do not actually guarantee the Requested Delivery Date that you ask for online, although this is of course the date we aim at and largely achieve for our customers. We do process orders with the utmost urgency and aim to meet the estimate - we always have the best of intentions of fulfilling it when we take your order. We set our cut-off points as realistically as we can, based on volumes and resources, which usually means that when we set out to calculate the ETA on your order we can be confident that we can meet it. However, sales can often be very unpredictable and it is sometimes difficult to calculate how quickly the picking dept can get through the volumes we have, especially when we are shipping 1000's a day. Due to the nature of the business we understand that it is very difficult for us to make guarantees for every order we accept. This is why we do not guarantee the actual delivery date itself in the first place and why we call it a Request or an Estimate. The only service we have which we guarantee the date itself is a premium Saturday pre12pm delivery. If any Saturday deliveries fail due to a delay or error by either Scan or Citylink, we always refund the extra paid for the premium.
Please be assured that our normal level of service and turnaround efficiency for orders will resume very shortly when we've caught up on the volumes downstairs. We hope we can still look forward to your business in the future and thank you once again for your patience and understanding despite the delay. I hope that you can accept our sincere apologies for the delay and come back to us again in the future.
Having said all that, I don't want to come across as awkward or pedantic. I am honestly just trying to do my job. Although I cannot refund the carriage in full I would like to try and work out an amicable compromise, in that we meet halfway. You paid an extra £10.86 + vat for the delivery, how about we meet halfway and I refund the extra £5.43 + vat? I hope the gesture of me trying to co-operate with your request shines through as I truly just want to get it sorted amicably. Let me know if it's ok and I will put straight back to your card. :)
Thank you for your patience and understanding and again I do apologise for the disappointments.
All the best,
XXXXXXX XXXXXX

my response:
Hi XXXXXXX
I'm afraid I can't appreciate what you're saying. I ordered this item on Thursday at noon, it seems the problem is that you're not efficient enough to get the item despatched on time - why do I care how much work you have? If you fail to deliver, you fail to deliver.
I have spent up to £1,000 with Scan in the last month and as this £10 is not being refunded it will be last I spend with Scan.
You may also wish to look at http://forums.multiplay.co.uk/showthread.php?t=52313 for other people that have had problems with Scan. I will be posting your response for people to make up their own minds.
Regards
Mark "Elbonio" Tilbrook
For the record I have had no problems with Scan until now. Shame that I'll have to take my business elsewhere. Also how is that some people get next day for free and when I pay the extra to get it next day, it comes two days late? Surely if they are "behind in the warehouse" everyone's orders would be delayed?

Funny, I was going to say, I get free "next day" delivery with I30 discount Hax, so couldnt work out why you didn't?
Oh, as for deleting accounts, it's the crazy silly way you log into scan website that might cause an account to appear deleted. I recently ordered some bits for my Boss (he wanted me to get them because I'd order them right). So after I put all the order together in my basket on my account, he put his card details in.. This changed my login details. I couldnt log into the account this morning becuase my First Name/ Last Name & Postcode had changed!! (helpful login system that). I logged in as him, and changed them back.. Most annoying....

I use Ebuyer and they use CityLink for deliveries. I have never received an order on the date requested because it ALWAYS arrives early for no extra charge. Just last week I opted for 5 working day free delivery as the items weren't urgent, and they arrived the next day. This positive experience with Ebuyer/CityLink is typical.
Contrast this with Scan who also use CityLink and my goods have always arrived later than 'requested'. It can't be a problem with the courier, it must be Scan that are the problem. The email to Mark seems to confirm they have issues.

I have always had excellent customer service from them in the past, my orders have been correct and on the date specified (which is usually the free i29 discounted delivery so its 1-3 days).
The difference this time was that I ordered this item and specifically wanted it for the weekend so I paid the extra £10 to get it Friday morning.
Now she's saying I'm paying for the TIME it's delivered, not the day which to be honest makes no sense at all as you get to pick a date and this changes the price accordingly.
Now I ordered this at noon on thursday - you would think plenty of time to get this out for next day, I assumed that I was paying more for the extra administration involved in fast-tracking my order and getting it despactehd as a priority.
The order was picked on Thursday but not despatched until Friday, consequently not arriving until Monday.
Seems to me the problem here is that Scan didnt despatch it on Thursday, despite it being selected for next day delivery. They should have prioritised my order over those paying nothing extra for standard delivery.
If I wanted it this week I would have chosen the free delivery option.

That email was the most long winded rubbish i've ever read!
Came across totally unprofessional. Whoever that is, needs a lesson in proof reading to ensure their writing is concise and to the point.
Also how pathetic that Scan will happily take £1k+ of your money, and can afford to p!ss away money on a massive stand at i31 yet absolutely cannot refund you the £10 carriage when they stuff up. Misers.

Seems to me that scam seem to like blameing everyone but themselves "oh its citylink" "oh you chose the wrong time" etc etc. Clearly the problem lies with them.
Just spent £6000 at microdirect the other week ordering 5 seperate machines and a server. it all arrived next day even though the order was placed at about 5.30 cost me £15 carrage (win) only issue i had was that one of the cases was damaged (but in all fairness the cardboard boxed looked untouched so it was probably done at the factory)
How can they manage to get out 6 different sets of machines with different parts and not miss a thing AND still get it to me for the next day ????
Scan had 1 machine to get and the coulent even do that :|
wont be using them again tbh and i spend a good £2k - £5k a month on clients machines.
oh and i didnt get offered free delivery at all even though i signed up at i30 :\ even if i had had this it would still of been more expensive than dabs :|
OHH just got a grovelling mail which ill post when I get home, most amusing part is that they are offering me free delivery on my next order ...... umm dont i already have free delivery from i30?

I've been saying in irc for days don't go with scan, they advertised a product that they didn't have and just thought that one automated e-mail in 2 weeks was sufficient to make me think "I'll wait and see if they sort it" Waiting on the refund now and if the 5.99 carriage isn't returned i'm gonna go mad.

One major complaint I have about Scan is that if your order is held up due to stock issues THEY DON'T BOTHER TO LET YOU KNOW. Only if you chase the order up over the phone do they tell you "oh yeah xxx is out of stock now".
One simple email and I could change the item I'm ordering or source it elsewhere, but no they just stop the order until the item comes in.
Elkeeed

I use scan a lot and unfortunately it is ****tylink that mostly are the problem. Too much stuff turns up late and/or broken.
They pay citylink extra for the time of delivery which they do point out on their website so I can see what they are saying but their delivery system is not helpful to the end customer. You pay extra for next day delivery from when you placed the order, you don't care where the delay happened.
Another problem that happens sometimes is that when you order a bunch of stuff, one item is out of stock and it holds up the whole order. But they dont keep the rest reserved and by the time new stock comes in something else has gone out of stock.
Firstly Ebuyer suck, I would avoid them like the plague. I don't know anyone who has used them and not had a problem, be it double charging, deliveries to the wrong address, replacements of faulty items with a second faulty item and so on.
Secondly dabs are good as long as what you order happens to be in stock, but you will see the difference between dabs and scan when a component is faulty or incompatible. With scan you ring/email them, you get to talk to a real person, they replace it quickly. With dabs you send an email, after about 5 days you get an automated response which has no relevance to what you wrote, repeat that process 2 or 3 times and something might turn up in the post a week later. You can't phone them, you can't even have a discussion about it by email, forget about getting any postage costs back, they will just ignore you.
So if you know about these 2 problems and how to sort them out quickly then scan are often far better to deal with than other companies, especially with the free delivery.

Thank you for your order from Scan.
Please regard this email as a notification of delay in your order due to unexpected volumesin our warehouse. Please rest assured your custom is greatly valued and we will process your order with the utmost urgency. Your order has still been booked for a next working day delivery from the point of despatch and we will send further emails to confirm this.
Should you require any further information or assistance please log a query using our online Customer Support service. Alternatively, you can contact our delivery support team on 0870-755-4747.
We apologise for the delay and thank you for your patience.
Hi there,
We understand your recent order with us was cancelled due to a stock delay. We just wanted to make contact with you and apologise for any problems we caused. Your custom is valued and we hope you come back to us again and give us another chance in the future. Our success over the last 20 years has been largely thanks to return business from long standing customers.
Stock problems like this are rare although sometimes an unavoidable hazard when dealing with such volumes and unpredictable sales demand. We do try to base our stock levels on estimated turnover but if demand is higher than expected then stock delays can happen. We're usually able to restock quickly where needed but in this case it seems there has been an unexpected issue which prevented us from fulfilling your order and we apologise for that sincerely. We certainly didn't intend to cause any inconvenience to you and our aim has always been to ship your order out on time. We're sorry we let you down on this occasion and hope your faith in us hasn't been lost.
As a gesture of goodwill in light of the problems you had, we'd like to offer you a free standard UK carriage if you are able to come back to us again. To redeem this discount please ring your next order through to our Sales Dept on 0870-755-4747 (option 2) and quote your invoice number above.
Thank you for your time in reading this and we hope to welcome you back to Scan in the future! :)
Best regards,
The Scan Team.

Last time I shopped with Scan, I had problems with them :(
This was in August last year....
I wanted the Intel Pent. D 805 (the one that can clock 4ghz on air?)
I went down to scan monday morning (its down the M6 and cheaper than there delivery charges!)... after checking the status of the website on the CPU..
Got there, stood in a queue and was told it was out of stock, regards of website showing it was in stock, they looked on the site and just said "Oh must have been ordered over the weekend" ... Its not hard if someone places an order to run an sql query of product = x - y (sales) = z (on the site)
Anyway, I bought the ram & gfx card and thought nothing of it.
Spent the whole entire day looking for somewhere local for the CPU managed to be able to order it from a local Computer shop in preston, they sold it me at what they where getting charged for it... which when they went to order it for me as well was pretty cool.
The Ram I bought from Scan was faulty and has been replaced... the Graphics card got replaced 3 times for being fautly... Not using Scan again.

I've been recommended to use scan a couple of times from people that haven't had any problems but then I read threads like this and it totally puts me off.
I don't believe that their delivery issues are down to city link because I do nearly all of my hardware shopping at ebuyer who use them as well, including sometimes several thousand pounds a month at work and everything has always been delivered on time or earlier than I requested.

I personally would now only go with Scan if it was REALLY urgent.

I've had problems with scan myself, the last thing I bought from them was a hard drive which I went and picked up myself.
Half ass'ed affair it like a bloody shambles, the q-collect system still results in you having to queue because they haven't picked you order. Where bomber jackets, jeans and hoodies are the dress code, just poor
Customer service is dire, i spoke to the guy that said he owned scan at i29 and he was saying how much investment he'd put in to change things and to top it off half the time ebuyer is still cheaper after paying for delivery

i spent 2k with them this year and knowing that other people had delivery issues i phoned up and asked them to confirm there and then that they had the items in stock.
i was told if you place your order and pay for it we will confirm the stock. wtf???
i then mentioned i was gonna drive from london to bolton to collect that day(so i had it in time to build for i31 i think) All items were confirmed as in stock. the person i spoke to told me that they were all available and the job lot was picked and reserved for me.
I drove the 4 hour journey, got in line gave my order reference and was told sorry we cant complete your order as the 2 graphics cards your ordered are out of stock.
er wtf did u just say???????
they are out of stock....
your kidding me, right?
er no sir.
I just drove 4 hours and then im gonna drive 4 hours back and i was told that my order had been picked and reserved for me about 6 hours earlier.
i asked for a manager to resolve this. i was very irrate to say it mildly.
30mins later my cards arrived in the store and i was able to get out and home a total of 6 hours drive (1 tank of fuel later). i dont know where from... i guess they were swiped from some other order and some poor sod lost out like i did earlier??
so did collecting it help? no it exposed a very crappy customer service and wharehouse picking system.
would i use them again?
nope, if it wasnt for the fact i needed a new system build and they were the only company who said they actually had the items in stock i would have used OCUK instead.

SCAN are cheaper not including delivery, Inlcuding Delivery, every time you can get it cheaper else where, mainly Ebuyer.
My last order was delevered a day late for absolutely no reason, all the items were in stock, so it must of been SCAN's inefficiency in their warehouse to dispatch the order on time. VERY annoying when you've booked a day off
Allthough to be fair i find Ebuyer's delivery a complete lottery! But then I've never had any other problems with Ebuyer, and i've spent a hell of a lot of money with them the past 6 or so years!
the other bad experience i had with SCAN was when i RMA'd a product, only for it to be sent back and told it was out of Warrenty! So why accept the RMA in the first place FFS!?! Not only would they not refund the postage, but they offered no help to me what so ever in getting my problem resolved. fobbing me off by telling me to contact the distributor, who funnily enough then told me that i have to go through the retailer i purchased the product from as they are a distributor and only deal with retailers. So i recontact SCAN to basically be told that it's not ther problem....... THANKS GUYS!
I only still use SCAN because of two reasons: 1)They are cheapest, and 2) I get free next day delivery. So i guess when it comes down to it, it's just price. lol
Another company i'd not use again is OCUK, but that's a different story. :):

If you want stuff to turn up in a predictable way, and actually be in stock when they say it's in stock, then I'd recommend Dabs. They're very reliable, and fast. Their customer-support is a bit sucky these days though.
Scan and Ebuyer are much the same IMHO, and I flip between them. Scan took an order for an in stock item, which turned out to NOT be in stock. They had taken the money, but emailed me to say this. I cancelled it, as per the instruction in the email, and a day or so later, the money was back in my account. Can't say fairer than that really.
I suppose it's all a bit of a lottery really. It shouldn't be, but it is.

wait, scan take the money before dispatch?
odd, most places I use only take the cash out of my account as it is dispatched.

My Scam (sorry, Scan) experience... about a year ago.
About 6-8 weeks ago, I planned some hardware out to rebuild 2 of my computers (desktop and server) with socket 939 stuff. I shopped around eBuyer, Dabs, Scan and Aria to find the best prices for each item of hardware I'd listed.
Scan offered the following hardware at the lowest price:
1. AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ (quantity: 2, one for each machine)
2. Corsair TwinX 2048 2x1GB PC3200 (quantity: 4, 4gb per machine)
3. Seagate Barracuda 500 GB SATA2 (quantity: 2, just for the server)
4. Dual 12" UV Cathodes
5. 120mm Case Fan
The other hardware from Aria, Dabs and eBuyer arrived in under a week. Only the keyboard from Dabs was faulty, but I'd like to compliment them on their excellent returns service. I reported it, they picked it up 2 days later and gave me a refund on the 3rd day.
2 weeks after I ordered, I queried my order. They said the CPUs was out of stock and they couldn't get a lead date. I decided to wait a bit longer.
3 weeks after I ordered, I queried it again. The CPUs was in stock, but now the hard disks were not. I am real pissed. Why couldn't they reserve them when they WERE in stock? Complete stupidity.
1 month later, my stuff from Scan still hasn't arrived, and I'm fuming; absolutely fuming. I told them I'm getting really annoyed with this, the delay is absolutely unacceptable, and say "those items now being out of stock is not an excuse, why couldn't they be reserved before?" They fob me off with "Our warehouse manager is looking into it and we'll get back to you in a few hours".
A week after that arrived, I query it YET AGAIN. Got an email saying my order has been dispatched. I'm thinking "about f***ing time".
Next thing 2 days ago, I get another email saying that the case fan, cathodes, and RAM were out of stock. No words will explain how pissed off I was. They also said "phone this number and we'll ship them to you for free in a seperate order later on" which would probably cost me 50p+ a minute. I replied "No don't bother. Just send me the stuff you got now, and refund me the rest." That was 20 minutes ago.
Waiting on a refund of £598 for the RAM, going to have to order RAM, cathodes, and fan off Dabs now. Thank god for that, I can trust them.
Never in my life have I experianced such poor service and business management. I thought Sainsbury's were bad!
Either their staff are complete monkey-spunk retards who can't build a lego puzzle, or a bunch of scamming lowlife criminals. Chose one, any one. Either way I can be certain I will never be ordering from Scam.co.uk ever again.
Thanks to Dabs, eBuyer, and Aria for great service.

All i can do is chuckle....
Sorry, but i spent quite some time ranting about scan in the past, only to be told they are a reputable company....
Yes, small claims court made them sort out their act.
I found them unhelpful and rude, with a "stuff you" attitude. Example:
was sent some screenshots from their tech team... who decided to send them in 30mb bmp files.... (this is when peeps had slow connections) they refused to re-send in smaller format.
anyway, took me over 6 months to sort it all out. Never used them since, and I used to spend several thousand a year with them.

Firstly Ebuyer suck, I would avoid them like the plague. I don't know anyone who has used them and not had a problem, be it double charging, deliveries to the wrong address, replacements of faulty items with a second faulty item and so on.
.
Now you do, I use them all the time and never had any problems, speedy delivery and good prices (Y)

I use Ebuyer exclusivly, and have never had a single issue with them, or thier service in 4 years and over £4k worth of PC an tech bits from them.
Every Online bit retailer will have faults, and the occasional problem, they can't be perfect 100% of the time. It's the service you recieve when things do go wrong that defines a company, and Ebuyer have never been anything but courteous, professional and helpful.

/sigh I wish I had of seen this before I placed my order. This exact thing just happened me.
Placed my order, got all my emails in confirming etc etc all going great. My order can be sent out up to 8pm each day no worries so far, 8:30pm today "order delay" erm what?
After ordering 2 days ahead and paying a huge 18quid to get a priority delivery, then this happens bah makes me /cry inside. Why they just cant tell me they are busy is beyond me, I would of just ordered somewhere else.
p.s My account also now wont let me log on woot
Just hoping scan will delivery on Saturday instead and I will be happy, if not I will join the scan pissed customer train.

My scan experience:
Ordered a webcam (£50) and hard drive (something over £100) from them about 5 days before i10. They quite happily took the £150 or so within a few minutes of the order being placed, fast forward a couple of days and the hard drive turns up. No mention of the camera or the other £50 they had taken. I phoned their support only to be told that there was no record of that, and that my account only showed the transaction for the hard drive. I ended up faxing them a copy of my bank statement showing the transaction but they insisted they had never taken the money for the camera. I gave up in the end.

Ive personally never had a problem with scan, except cancelling orders doesnt work.
Placed an order for a pile of gear and had a unexpected debit from my account (phone bill about 8x the size i expected) so i cancell the order less than 12 hours after placing it, got email saying yes its cancelled money will not be taken ect ect thought nothing of it untill dear old Mr Banker sent me a letter informing me that i had exceeded my set limit... checked my account and low and behold money was taken so i checked my order with scan (this was nearly a week and a half later) and it said it was enroute.
shockingly it turned up about 3 days later battered to hell.

TBH i thought scan were probably the most profesional and safest bet to use when ordering pc stuff..
For about the last year or so i switched to using them from ocuk just becuase the shipping was cheaper/faster. No problems yet.
Well i will keep using them and if it goes tits up i can allways go back to ocuk :>

Scans stocking and picking system just amuses me, last time I ordered it was in stock when I ordered, everything was going ok, or so it seemed. Sure enough suddenly it's not in stock, what a surprise, as for paying for next day delivery, tried that one as well.....didn't arrive the next day either but they were happy to take the cash of course. My mate has also had major problems with scan, as well as many others, the fact is they lie to you and give you the runaround when they know it's their fault. Warehouse full of monkeys springs to mind.

I USED to love scan.
I still use the site as a price comparison guide. they have good prices before you pay delivery then your stuffed.
Over the years ive spent 1000's with em only a few problems. then i started to use them for work we spent 1000's a time on bits and prices then we started to have major problems.
Items delivered far beyond the delivery date (o/c it was city link’s fault)
We had a delivery of HDD's out of a box of 20 of that 5 were duff.
It took over a mth to get replacements.
In the end we had a delivery disappear apparently delivered to us (never been seen) signed by a caretaker that doesn’t even exist so in the end we told em to sod off.
ive not used em since.
I actually use the local computer shop at basically the same prices my last order there was 20 80gig hdds 20 gig of ddr 3 gig of ddr2 and 3 gfx cards ok I pay slightly more than internet prices but without the delivery and we support a local business ;)
