View Full Version : StratLAN 12-14 October - Can you make it?

Wizzo

It seems quite a few people aren't able to make the above dates, so we need to do a quick poll to assess the viability of the event to go ahead. No point opening signups and taking payments only to cancel it (again) due to lack of interest.

Poll away... let us know if you can make it and we'll get it opened for bookings asap.

"No" Is quite clearly winning this poll, putting my 'Yes' to shame...

Whats the crack then? When do we hear news about a confirmation of these dates? Or suggestions of new dates?

Theres only so much Stratlan cancellation i can cope with!

Why do I get the impression StratLan very neglected and underrepresented. I know it wasn't make much profit but some of us prefer it to the i-series.

You should try a Centralan ;) It's a bit closer to you as well!

I've said I can make this SLAN, and I hope it happens!

didnt seem that way last time seemed more of a proper lan, i.e getting p1ssed and having a laugh and occasionally playing aliens over mame

As I need to get the days booked off work sharpish if it's on before some other bandersnatch takes the prize.

I was an undecided, but now i am a NO. Giving family lift to airport that weekend now. :(

RocketKnight
30th August 2007, 14:23
In that case I'm switching my undecided to a no because StratLAN is weird when I can't play silly retro games with Kev.

No seriously, give me a chance I can do it.

The tsunami Equation

Growth hormone + remmington + norfolk * (retro + obscure)^2 = Tsunami

Seriously though, who care's about 'No's'?

My Nan won't be coming to stratlan but she doesn't feel the need to post up about it, neither does my dog or next door neighbour.

In other news, will this be going ahead or not?

Wizzo
4th September 2007, 10:58
StratLAN is going ahead on those dates. We have something special up our sleeve for the event that should stimulate a bit more interest :)

Signups will go live on the 13th September.

The no's are not from people like your nan, the no's are from people who attend these event regularly. Like myself who hasnt missed a stratlan for years.

As it happens, there is a slim chance I might be a Yes, spoke to my parents this weekend and they havent booked any flights yet. So if they havent done that before sign ups open, I may attend after all. If you're not interested dont read this paragraph :p:

Cheers Wizzo.

Tsunami fair point the no's are from people who have been before, but some of the comments seem more along the lines to scupper the event as they aren't able to make it, which ain't on (see prev thread as well)

Either way looking forward to it indeed *\o/*
