Please list maps in this topic which may help dishonest users exploit the XP system we have on Multiplay. These maps shall in turn be removed from the servers.
If possible, along with the map name, could you please give a reason as to why you feel said maps exploit the XP system.
For example:
Map: Stadium3
Reason: The user can spawn lots of monsters to kill. They can also, gain a very high score with the Gauss Cannon.
Bare in mind I'm only considering maps abusive to SCXPM if they generate, say, 1000 points within half hour ;) I'm not quite sure that 2bases and horde are quite that serious; they require effort to get weapons (i.e. no minigun).
So basically any maps, which have some kinda "plot", like osprey won't be removed.

BlackMilk says battlezone is another abusable map. Spawn stuff, kill it, ad nauseam. A player "hawk" was on there earlier with over 900 points :|

sc_cliffside and last4 with the ospreys having so much health combined with miniguns and full ammo reincarnation. You can easily hoard so much xp from those maps.

Someone takes the minigun while having full ammo reincarnation, camps on top of the bunker or the watch-tower where you can easily hide from the grunts and starts blasting the ospreys engines and gets a nice share of xp. Also the garg isnt much of a problem as it keeps killing the grunts,other players or it gets destroyed.

A minigun keeps spawning on a box near the spawns entrance where someone quick enough grabs it, goes either outside behind the bunker or the boxes infront of the bunker, or he / she goes ontop of the tower once you have access to that area and starts blasting from there. It requires some skill ( you have to drop the minigun on the doorway leading to the balcony ) but once you get there, its quite an easy place to shoot at the osprey with the minigun.
Possible solution :
A possible solution could be that minigun ammo should be given random through the xp-mod, just like mp4 grenades. Also you can still find minigun ammo from both maps.

Its very easy make points in this map.

My fairly small contribution. 2bases. Constant respawning of hgrunts. The same could be said for fun_zone_sc, respawning apache's, gargs, zombies, icky's, big mommas, but its a fun map so I'm not sure if you want to include that as well.

Doesn't beat splatter. I used to see players with scores of at least 3000 on it. :awesome:

Alrighty. Well another one I just remembered is zombie_c*nt_maniac and yeah, the map is actually called that. Very small room packed with respawning zombies and a very large supply of miniguns. In fact, I think thats the only weapon, apart from the crowbar. :ssh:

I would have mentioned Overrun but at least it is actually an objective-based map aka protect Otis. Once he is dead the map ends iirc.

Its actually 3000. But regardless of how much health he has, the map has a mission objective to accomplish. Unlike the pointless fragfests such as Splatter, Overrun requires players to work cooperatively to protect Otis. Also Overrun only spawns the Minigun right at the beginning and the ammo is scarce. In fact, I don't recall there being ammo for it. It would take quite a while to obtain a score of 1000+ on this map, even for a person playing on their own.

well yes it is very hard on your own, as you get well, overrun.
also, i believe zombie_naughtyword_maniac has been removed from the server.

this has been mentioned before, but i must insist secretcity4 is removed, something on the map allows you to move between 52000 and -8000 points hence giving you quite the surplus

zombie_arena1 is honestly just for xp-collecting. You defend a narrow outdoor hallway from waves of zombies and gonomes. One person had about 200 points on that map.
You get a minigun, assault rifle, sniper rifle and a shottie on that map. Also you get ammo spawned for the minigun.

this map is respawning monsters against a base, just an xp-harvesting exercise, loads of weapons, plus flakey as hell, alien commanders with -300hp but wont die, and seems unstable too
candidate for scrapping?

Anything with a -n health, is something that had some sort of scripted sequence (sp?) and something/one blocked (killed) it.
I've seen zombies walking round with -200 health to all of a sudden drop dead when they reach where they are meant to be.
But yes that map does sound like a map for XP abuse

There was this map thats name i cannot remember , it starts with a bunker that has a controllable bazooka turret and the pieces of walls in front of the bunker remind you the megazone game.There is also a small house in other side of map that has teleporter in it.It leads to empty room with no enemies.

Too_easy - Players basically spawn in mid air and fall to death , useless map
Defent - a house and a sandbags outside , theres lots of grunts , but after they are killed map goes nowhere

the maps u can't find is not "defent" it is "defend" that has only 24 grunts that spawn outside a house. You go out a kill them and that's it. No respawn, no secret passages, no nothing from there =)

ADIE2 lots of spawning monsters that are behind glass , you can kill them with satchel then drop satchel to restore ammo and kill again.

Sorry for being slightly off-topic here, I just wanted to say that I'm amazed and wondering as to how/why players can actually kill monsters non-stop till in the thousands of points without getting bored or having their thumbs fall of their hands >_<
I've seen a map or two recently that could be whored on but forgot the names, bleh.

It could be very useful but what about when I play at night by myself. Remember I'm on a different time schedule than most. So my primetime is when the servers are almost empty. PM for me. Now is this gonna say im whoring because I get all the kills because I'm playing solo? Not to mention I'm also on "unemployment" for the next 2-3 months. So im sure I will be playing alot. Just wanted to mention so everyone knows.

Unfortunately due to the filesystem of our servers, that plugin wouldn't work. Plus I don't like the idea of loads of people saying xpwhore for every other map. We certainly wouldn't have time to check every query.

But the log file isn't really stored in /addons/amxmodx/logs, it's stored in the folder set in the variable amxx_logs, which by default is that dir, so it probably wouldn't matter if you use a different filesystem.
If any other log plugins work, this should work.

Well you don't HAVE to check all the time, you could just take a look every now and then and if you, eg. see the name liv3d in the list, you'll probably take that seriously, right?
And sure, posting here isn't much of an effort, but some people still think it's too much, and not everyone is registered here and/or knows about reporting maps. (I'm only here for like what, 3 days now)

I was playing "monsterdm" last night. The map consists of 15 rounds of fighting small hordes of enemies. With the 15th being the final round, but after you beat the gargantua at the end, Nothing happens. The map just has on area to battle in and thats it. I stayed in for like another 10 minutes trying to see if it was a delay before the next map or if I missed something, but nothing. It just seems to hang up after you beat it.

I'm not sure if this one was mentioned but "alienbat" is a pointless map. small fort vs. respawning aliens all in a tight area. I'm just watched someone rack up 500 then leave and come right back so they don't look like a whore. And no I didn't call an admin because I don't like ratting people out, besides he's just a nub.

miib_clubhouse seems to be just killing spawning monsters. It does end at one point but players get lots of exp before that happens.

fun_fun_fun was just recently voted which is basically a large white room with respawning zombies, Alien grunts, controllers etc. I could've sworn this map was removed, but it seems to be back.

When we updated AMXX from 1.79d to 1.80 I forgot to modify the adminvote plugin to only allow maps from the maps configuration file, rather than allow any map that exists. The plugin has been updated and awaits installation by tech support.

By the way, if you could add some kind of limit to respawning enemies at tox_silo, they seem to respawning foreverer untill someone goes past them.

saving_the_second_amendment (reason: no point, HS kills with sniper rifle gives you way to much xp and it never goes to next in series).
zombie_squad1 (reason: no point, respawning grunts everywhere, lots of miniguns equals lots of xp).
dbjr (reason: pure xp whoring).
para1 (reason: not point, just a couple respawning grunts, continuously shoot with RL, horrible on the eyes).
crusader5 (man thats alot of zombies and gonomes and HW grunts spawning).
TRENCHES (reason: 2 trenches with never-ending respawning grunts).
alienbat (reason: ummm i mentioned it in an earlier thread, respawning alien grunts).

Hello and happy new year for everyone
Yesterday i was playing in one of the servers (i dont remember if it was "Shorties" or "Coustums") and the people vote for the map "The defence".Well,this map never ends because is always the same:"spawn and go to a bunker in the middle of the map, killing all time garg, some alien slaves and bull squid who're respawning again and again around the bunker.Without end or objectif.
This map isnt only an abuse of Xp,is also VERY VERY boring. So please,dont put it in the list of the maps.

preparation_x <<-- Input on this please, I think it needs to go, it's just for massive xp.
It has 3 parts, but still. The last part has nothing but uber-enemies (Apache with 80,000 hp)(HW grunts with 16,000hp) and after you defeat them the map doesn't change.

preparation_x is an ok-ish map, the first part anyway. Part 2 is just boring XP whore, and part 3 is unplayable without cheats + vast vast XP whoring.

In my opinion, we should remove sc_ osprey and sc_cliffside. The minigun and the EGON weapon are always targeted for XP-whorers, I knew 2 of them, but I wont write them down....
It really pisses me off, that XP-whorers and snark exploiters arent getting punished for this crimes -.-

Those maps are only there as start up maps to bring the public in. They have always worked in that respect, which is why I'd rather modify them rather than remove them.

Or, take 1 out and move the other one to some awkwood place that would ensure you die fairly quickly :) Kinda like what I did with the minigun.

Yeah would be nice, but most "high" level players can get, take the MG and leave there without dieing...
So what about removeing the MG? and replacing the Minigun with the Egon....
Drop that about removing the maps...
But fact is, that these maps always are targeted of XP-whores...

Here's an idea: SCXPM tweak, which records the highscore (frags) for every map. That highscore is then compared (when the map is loaded) to for example, 300 frags. If that highscore is much higher than 300, the xprate for that map will be dropped. Also, if it's much lower, then the xprate will be increased. Should be possible to script.

Can you remove svencooprpg3? It seems to be one of those maps wich never end and with egon it is very exploitable.

Caught someone XP whoring on this map.

Managed to get a score of 2000+ in the space of half an hour. Uses the egon on an infinite number of respawning Alien Grunts in the Arena zone.

Just a box room spawning 4 grunts all the time, someone was just playing the map with over 500+ points. Plus its kinda boring, no?

Must admit it is a very pointless map and probably should be removed.
