Passport question

It says on the thing that my passport must have atleast an expiry date of Feb 2008, but mine is gonna die in December. Seeing as WCG is in October is it really needed for it to last so long? I'm not sure how long it will take to gain a new passport as mine is a child so its not just a case of renewing it ;(

I imagine it is because of one of two reasons, the location where the finals are being held have a requirement of 'x' number of months remaining on your passport when you enter the country which is quite common, or that WCG want to make sure that you have no excuse not to attend the finals by having a passport valid long enough to attend.

most countries wont let u in unless you have at least 6 months left on your passport. But depends what country.

But i assume you got a European union 1, so if the finals in an eu country u be ok if not get a new passport.

Edit: just saw its America. Get a new passport. Only takes like a month max, u can get it in a day if u go to passport office.
