Just testing the water at the moment to see if there is any interest.. I`m thinking of selling my camcorder as i barely use it any more. We rent some VERY expensive pro quality cameras for event use now so while this camera is VERY good for its price, its not quite £4k good. I might upgrade to one of these, but thats an unknown quantity at the moment. Anyway i digress...
Specs are as follows:
Panasonic NV-GS400 DV Camcorder
Imager: 3 x 1/4.7" CCD (2 mpixel Stills)
Format: PAL
Media: MiniDV & SD Card (SD card for stills)
Zoom: 12x optical 600x Digital
Lens: 43mm with optical stabilization
Screen: 3.5" LCD
Ports: Firewire, Stereo Mic, Headphones, AV, S-Video, USB 2.
Power: Comes with 4 batteries and 2 chargers.
Other: Has a flash for stills, adjustable eye-peice, true optical widescreen (as opposed to just a distorted image)
In the same kit I would also be selling my GS120 :
Panasonic NV-GS120 DV Camcorder
Imager: 3 x 1/6" CCD (1.7 mpixel Stills)
Format: PAL
Media: MiniDV & SD Card (SD card for stills)
Zoom: 10x optical 500x Digital
Lens: 24mm with digital stabilization
Screen: 2.5" LCD
Ports: Firewire, Stereo Mic, Headphones, AV, S-Video, USB.
Power: Comes with 2 batteries and 1 charger.
Both of the above are stored in a single padded flight case with holes cut specifically to shape. That said i can supply boxes, and manuals etc, for both cameras.
The batteries are interchangable, so you essentally have 6 batteries and 3 chargers. Also i have modified one of the power leads to allow you to use standard RC car nicad batteries for VERY long shooting sessions. (approx 6hrs)
I can include these too, and the charger if nessecary.
Also included in the case are several lenses (2 x wide angle), filters (polariser, skylight etc) and adaptors, a lens hood, and adaptor rings for the smaller camera.
I also have a panasonic video light too, which is good for about 2 to 3m range in dark places.
Another item that i will include is a Rode VideoMic. This is a very good quality directional mic that mounts to the camera. Improves the audio quality no end and means no need for a hand held mic a lot of the time.
All the equipment is in very good condition due to lack of use. All the i-series video coverage from i25 to i29 was filmed using these cameras, but they rarely (if ever) get used between events.
Looking on ebay, this little bundle would set you back nearly £1000. And to put that into perspective, I paid more than that for the GS400 alone when it was new.
I`m looking for offers around the £950 mark for the lot.
