(NWN2) Anyone else having problems running this game on maximum detail? I can run it fine max on 1024x768, but can't seem to get a good frame rate when hiking it to 1280x1024.

Seems strange, wondering if anyone had encountered this before and found a fix?

running on 101.02 beta drivers

I recall having the same issue on my old system too. I'll post a solution if I find one :)

check the global detail settings in the drivers, i found that they had 8xFSAA QA and 16AF enabled by default, failing that load the profile for nwn2.exe and poke away.

Yeah, will have to check that out, I had forgotten about the profiles. For anyone else, there is a tweaking guide over here, http://www.tweakguides.com/NWN2_1.html

Just to say that following that guide, gave me a superb boost in playability. It could also be that the 1.05 patch is out now with a built in warning about playing with Water Reflections and Refractions enabled, which I had :)

I'd recommend the guide to anyone with fps troubles.

I have been playing this again recently, having lost my save game I have started again. The game is infinatly better with a faster computer. I would recommend if people dabbled with this game to remember to revisit it if you get an upgraded computer.

If you haven't got upgraded hardware, the most recent patch does address some issues with graphics and performance, defaulting a few of the more strenuous options to off, such as water options.
