[Big Giant Head]

Dunno how many forumers attended what was a damn good event but I thought I'd post my thoughts anyway :)

I was at the Chelmsford one

Best Band - StarSailor - Went expecting nothing cause Hawk dragged me along and got one of the best performances of the festival :), In constrast to.....

Worst Band - Well not worst I guess but most disappointing were the Red Hot Chillie Peppers, went expecting a superb performance and got a medicocre one, still at least I wasn't watching top loader :)

Also Good - Wheatus and JJ72, because I was right down the front and they were just great

Best Moment - Waiting in the pouring rain for JJ72 to come on, soaked to the bone (no I didn't take a coat) then seeing them come on and just forgetting about anything else :)

Worst Moment - Spending 2 nights on the back seat of thistle car (sleeping, unfortuantely), most uncomfortable when you're 6'3"

Most Bizarre Moment - I'm gonna let hawk explain this one cause I just can't find the words......

Funniest Moment - Seeing Hawk lose his hat to groupies who mistook him for a rock star

Me and Hawk failed miserably to get "thx gg wp" on the text the fest screen though :(

A top weekend spent in a marsh with a bunch of good bands :)

Oh and anyone who thinks i8's food and drink prices are expensive try spending £5 on a cheese burger and coke :(

ok then... I'll point out now that my experience of the festival was "enhanced" by the fact I had a VIP pass to the Virgin Radio Hospitality area with a free bar, free food, VIP toilets (with no queue and/or chemicals) and exclusive sessions with the bands about 5 feet in front of me... so:
Best Band: Starsailor, closely followed by Shed 7, Embrace and Coldplay
Best Moment: Sitting next to Danny McNamara from Embrace watching Rick Witter sing Going for Gold acoustic in front of me
Most Bizarre Moment: As promised... well... you know how much easier it is for men to go to thte toilet in public than it is for women? Well, a drunken Irishwoman urgently needed to go, and asked me, BGH and BGH's random friend so stand round her as a human barrier (facing outwards obviously) so that she could relieve herself. Incidentally it worked, and yes I made sure I was uphill...
Second Most Bizarre Moment: Wandering round the Virgin Radio tent with Embrace and Dean from Big Brother shamelessly loafing and exploiting the free bar... how I remember any of the saturday I'll never know :smokin:

then just find some random place to sleep ;)
