Uneven ping?

Hi just want to check if Big & strange and Big & strange relics are on the same machine as last night and today my ping on B&S was 250 to 315 and on B&S relics 30 to 60 both had people complaining of lag but I only noticed it on B&S relics :confused:
My normal ping on most of our servers is 30ish never over 60

Hi Laz mate.

Yes, both CTF1 and CTF2 (The SLV's) are on the same physical machine.

We know of the lag issues and they don't seem to be solely network related. It's been going on for quite a while and despite rebuilding the entire servers and every bit of their config, it remains on both SLV's and also DM2 (Open) (Different machine) and DMCTF3 (CnG) (Same machine as slv's) and is worse when there are more players on.

As you can see from the other threads here, it's causing a lot of upset to both players and admins.

It was not a moan over Lag :icon12: (I know all about the recent problems and the great lenths all at Multiplay have gone to to sort it) Its just over the strange difference in my ping on 2 servers from the same machine I just Noobily (New word ) asumed they would be near each other ping wise.

And thanks also to pwyzpk for your input , I did re-boot 3-4 times to no avail and it was over a 36 hour period some times with a full server and some times just 4 on 4 ish.

And to Cow Face is always a pain to me :cwmdie: but I still keep going back I think the Lag saves me from getting Head shot so much :icon15:
