It has come to my attention, as my job finishes on Friday, that I have Uni coming up. I am now starting to feel a bit daunted going through all the forms and other **** they sent me. Theres a lot of stuff there.

Im am off to Grey College at Durham Uni on 30th of september, and now it doesnt seem that far away. When I finished school last year, I knew I had a year of working, now I gotta actually work again :(

Oh well, any advice from other students about freshers or anyone actually at Durham uni somewhere, or even Grey College?

well as long as you've survived the ridiculously complicated forms (HS1, 2 and 3 which all ask you for the same information) uni should be cool - I start in Leeds in 5 weeks and all I'm worried about is whether I'm gonna be able to corrupt (I mean convert) my flatmates into avid lanners :smokin:

i started uni last october, i felt a little bit like that just before i started. Just make sure you say hi to all the people in your corridor as soon as you can.

We all went out and started drinking at about 3 on the first day and got to know each other a bit.

I too know someone who is at durham, same person as Monk infact and i believe he was in grey college. he said it was good.

/me casts his mind back

When i went to uni (no comedy age jokes please) i remember arriving, realising i had forgotten to bring any cash with me (duh) and then getting stuck into the meet + greet + chatup + drink session that lasts about a week....
I was severly pissed off at having to go up to uni for an hour to register for my course, i was even more annoyed at having to meet my tutor.
There was much too much else going on rather than this uni stuff [:)]

Can i go back please?

Erm yeah when i started uni i was totally unprepared for it ...... freshers 'month' sprawled out to two terms, and then i ended up failing a core course in first year :(

Was soooooo much fun though, dont regret doing it one bit :D
