Hi
Question from PBUK.........
Can anyone suggest any LAN events that take place in the Nordic region of countries ie. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland?
The PB offices in those countries are looking to support some local LANS and have asked PBUK to ask the Multiplay community.
So, if anyone could suggest some LAN events in those countries and maybe post some links to info that would be greatly appreciated :)
Cheers

Speaking of Dreamhack... time to start organising the MPUK does Dreamhack Summer 2007 trip. We've been to the last two Dreamhacks as a more close-knit group, but looking to open it up a bit and help more people join us over there this time :)

Nope... just helping those a bit bewildered by it all to sort it out. We'll sort a block booking of tickets and give the travel options etc. for you to sort out yourselves.

Indeed, those two are the main ones (4-5k+ players!).

About £300 I think those on a budget managed last time, including flights, travel from stockholm, event entrance, the cheap hotel deal and food and drink whilst there. One thing to bear in mind alcohol is expensive over there.
Last two times we flew into Stockholm Arlanda and then first time got the train (which ended up being a taxi as the flight was delayed and we missed the train) and the second time we hired a convoy of cars and drove it (which worked out slightly cheaper overall). This time we're looking at flying directly into Jonkoping (via Copenhagen). Bugs was bartering with SAS to get a deal :)
We'll post more details shortly to round people up :).

You missed shGopen 2007 here in Copenhagen a few weeks ago, that was a huge event that saw most of the worlds best teams for their respective games attend, and a Brazilian team ended up winning the event.
Slaplan is coming up at the start of April in Copenhagen, but it has tiny prize money when compared to Shgopen.
