Madi,
So this giving up smoking thing?
is this for the good of your health?
or did you just work out that if you gave up smoking, the money that you save will allow you to upgrade your PC before I8?

A tip for quiting smoking is nocotene patches, I use these and for some reason they send unusual pains down the arm you are wearing them on.
Also try that plastic inhulator thing which replaces the fags. Thay taste foul and there anough to put you off smoking for a while.

:D

Congrats Madi. IMO Smoking is a stupid thing to do. It wrecks your health easily.

WELL DONE MADI!

Mum and Dad have been smoking for 40 years, It kinda puts you off hearing them weezing and coughing in the morning, time for a looped recording along with "This will be you in 40 years time"

I can beat that. I worked on a projct for 6 weeks which involved accelerating the effect of ciggy smoke on kitchen surfaces. Basically I made a machine that smoked cigarettes and blew the smoke onto cut surface samples.

That wasnt the problem. Cleaning the thick sludgy foul smelling tar from the smoke chamber, without puking at the whole thing did it.

You dont want that **** inside you. Photographs on request. I still have the project as a reminder.

You know you've about cracked the habit when you can get up in the morning and not even think about having a fag, or after a large dinner.
Drinking will always remain a challange for when your smashed out your brains you can always do with a fag. I don't know why that is???

:D

In skool, once meh teacher had a read lung (yeah real) and it had been of someone who had smoked. It was horrible. The lung was like totally black and falling apart.

Give up smoking by sticking one cigarette from each new pack up a fat friend's arse, filter first, then replacing it in the box. The possibility of putting that one in your mouth will put you off smoking any of them.

Explain this:

1000's or 10,000's of people die each year (dunno about exact figures) from smoking, yet it is legal and accepted. Now think, in ALL and i mean ALL of recorded history NO-ONE has EVER died from smoking weed? So why the hell is it illegal? Don't give me **** like it effects your actions and all that rubbish, because so does alcohol - and thats legal, oh and how many people die from drinking too much? LOADS....

Just needed to get that off my chest..... who knows, mabey some goverment twat might read this and give it some thought.

There are a lot of moral issues in Decriminalising something. How do you control it... Will more people do it... etc...

It's not quite as simple as 'Free the Weed MAN!'

Big Giant Head
20th August 2001, 13:04
The fact that smoking is legal may have something to do with the fact that the goverment makes something silly like 11million a day in tax off smokers ;)

KermitTheFrag
20th August 2001, 13:46
Ironically speaking, at least the smokers are funding their medical care through taxation for the NHS whereas us alkies are just bootlegging it from France :D
