Banned For Nothing

Hi

I'm a regular player on the Public CTF :: Big & Strange (Relics) Server, and I was just booted for no reason whatsoever by some moron in IRC.

I got into the game as normal, headshotted some guy called 'paranoid' and then all of a sudden he replied "sure" I just thought, yeah whatever don't be a baby. I carry on playing and the next thing u know he says '!admin' can you please boot aimbotter?

I had 4 frags and I had been in the game less than 2 minutes.

I replied. "Are you kidding? I kill you once and u accuse me of being a bot" I naturally assumed people were too intelligence to take any notice of this guy, ofcourse I was wrong and a couple of seconds later I'm booted.

How the **** is that fair? Some idiot calls me a bot within 2 minutes of me enterting, and then a couple of seconds later without ANY kind of warning or spectating I'm booted. What kind of moderating is that? I had 4 frags ffs.

I'm hoping to be unbanned, but if admins like that are still around, (CLEARLY, just looking for a reason to boot someone, OR incredibly stupid) I don't think theres much point.

I just can't believe how fast that happend. I had 4 frags, none of which were impressive, yet I'm booted for apparantly aimbotting.

And to top things off u have players on the server like USS Navy Seal who can headshot people as their falling through the air and nobody says ****.

Oh and I was playing on the name BOSS.

Did you go to IRC and ask the Admin who booted you to explain?? It might have all got sorted very quickly. Well in my experience with MPUK admins that normally gets results.

Well I'm sorry, but how would you respond if some player who obviously isnt very good called u a bot and u actually got banned about 10 seconds later, by somebody who wasn't even in the game.

none of the servers have your IP banned.
try rejoining the server as n when any problems find me or ask for an admin in IRC Quakenet @ #mpukunreal

I understand my comments were a little harsh but I'm just mad that whoever booted me did it without any kind of warning whatsoever. How was I suppose to react?

I hope so, I'd love to know what their excuse is. Probably something about being abusive, I called the other guy a noob, which is hardly abusive since everybody on the server has used that word at sum point or another.

Whoever it was did a bad job.

If he did infact boot me because he thought I was botting - He should have atleast entered the game or got someone else to first. You can't determine anything from a bunch of text.

If he booted me for abusive language - He should have warned me in some form before hand, instead of just kicking me.

I was in the same game when this happened, on Boss's team, paranoid called !admin and suddenly Boss was kicked by IRC MPUK kicker or something like that.

It didnt look like this call was dealt in the usual way.

Can't say I was the moron on IRC in question that booted anyone, since I've had intermittent power and such. Either way, it sounds as if you were *kicked,* not banned. There's a difference. If you get kicked, you're just being removed from the server and ye can rejoin any time you feel. Banning is totally different.

Anyhow, I wasn't there to see the chatlogs, so I've no idea what went on. For the record, if I ever do get a headshot, it's either dumb luck or teh haxxorz cause I can't shoot for ****e.

That kicked you and paranoid both . You were both being rude and disrupting the server with your actions. We have ways of dealing with these things around here and it's done by first calling an ADMIN . Players do not need to cause a disturbance on the servers . We have a very skilled group of Admins here to deal with these sort of problems . If you had taken a second and read the server rules, which come up when you join a server you would have know this .You have a very poor attitude to begin with . With an attitude like yours you will not last long here unless you change it . Now as for the kick you deserved it and got it and be thankful it wasn't a Ban .I have a very very low tolerance for people with attitudes like yours . I suggest next time you contact a server Admin or just leave the server without causing a uproar. Just so you know paranoid will be receiving a little chat about their actions as well . I suggest you read the server rules for these servers listed below and heed them if you decide you want to play here . Now your more then welcome to play on any of our servers providing you can abide by these rules. Anything that disrupts the game for other players on these servers is dealt with swiftly and fairly . So please enjoy the servers.

(Did you warn us before you decided to cause a disturbance on the servers No you didn't . Did you read the rules for the server that pop up when you join the server . I think not . So just who is in the wrong here ,me for looking after the interests of our servers and the other players on them by removing someone causing a disturbance or the players causing the disturbance . ) Now if you wish to discuss this in a civil manner please read the rules and then come find me in IRC #MPUKUNREAL and we will discuss it .
