View Full Version : DM1 Server: terrible lag :(

Does anyone know whats up with DM1 on the Ut99 servers?

I thought it was just a bad day or something, its been uber laggy for a few weeks now :(

Its a popular server and losing players daily.

I tried the !Fix DM1 LAG command from IRC but that didn't work.
Flash rebooted it a few days ago but still no joy.

Any help?

Piley, stop torrenting and the lag goes away. You should get your pr0n the old fashioned way like everyone else: make it yourself :D

Just playin. Both Ubers have been laggy a bit lately too.

Its funny that you said the DM server gets "uber laggy" Does that mean the Uber server gets "DM laggy"?

Servers now moved to a completely different box, we have also transferred the ip to the new box to keep the ips you join the same.

Desolé mais ça lag toujours autant. même dans oblivion qui n'est pas une grande map.
Sorry but that lag always as much even in oblivion which is not large a map.

I tested it yesterday was laggy as hell.

Letylove49 + strider were there they were also laggy, flash entered then left then entered then I left couldnt do with it :P

Think ping was ok it was more like slow performance?

DM1 and LOLMAN were bad again last night - but I saw complaints from the normally smooth SLVs as well and they're on a completely different machine so I can only guess it was a temporary network glitch somewhere. If it clears up I guess that was it. If not we may have some more work to do.

very laggy today at the FUN server as well.... ping went up & down all the time for some reason... :confused:

Both SLV and Insta were bad last night.
Ping was OK, but every few seconds, everything would slow right down for a second, like there was treacle in the map :(

Is there anything we end users can do, to help diagnose the problem?

Yup treacle on SLV2 right now.

Hard to use precision weapons like sniper. It is not lag its like the server can't keep up???

On the up side slv2 is now flying. Best in ages its been.

What ever the fix was don't undo it please
