UTDC 1.8 "Hacked files"

Something went "bang" on some of our UT99 servers this morning about 11:20, and our system kicked pretty much anyone who runs UT on Windows from the affected servers with a message saying "Hacked File?"

Not exactly sure what caused this yet, but I wanted to post to reassure those who got kicked that we know you weren't cheating and you're not banned. First guess is a corrupt file on our system.

Anyway, should be ok now. If you can't reconnect, close UT, delete the UTDC.u and UTDC.DLL files from c:\unrealtournament\system\ or wherever you installed UT, and you should be fine to reconnect again.

Well I did what you said but after a few minutes of play the darn thing says I need to install utdc.dll and kicks me out to windows with a funny UT error. Explains why the popular maps was empty, never seen it empty before...

Works fine on some other servers (non uk multiplay)

Yes, sorry Zai. I didn't purge DM1 immediately as there were players on it and wasn't causing any issues. It went bang a little later than the others...

If you haven't been on the servers since the BANG it wont be necessary to delete I guess?

UT is asking me on popular DM for utdc.dll even though I have it installed...

just delete it and reconect, I did an update earlier which broke things :p All fixed now but you will still probably need to redl that.
