Well, after a year of using MP for our 64 RANKED BF2 server, we are finally saying goodbye after the 13th of this month - Jan- .
The staff at MP have been excellent and extremely helpful.
We are moving for a number of reasons:
Firstly, we can get the same hundreds of pounds cheaper.
Secondly, we want daemon, clanforge is ok, but we all use RCON BF2cc, which is miles better than clanforge.
We are moving to rackage, we can test them out for a month, as they do a 1 month contract - we have 2 CS:S servers with them and they seem to be running very well.
Have a happy new year from =VTA=.

OMG DUUUUUDE!!! This is a very very sad day :( I knew this was going to happen coz i can remember you saying that it runs out in jan but at the time it was a long way off, m8 you got the best server out there for bf2 and im gonna miss it soooo much along with the 1000's of other people that come on there. Is there any way we can "save this server" if not, manface would you consider handing over the account to me or even if i could pay half towards the server and keep it going as it is ?? I know its a bit exspensive but dude the amount of people that go on here is worth it plz plz plz can we sort something out :)
Peace

Not all good things can last I guess!!!
Plus with QuakeWars coming out in march, it is nice to be able to have a monthly contract with a host company.
^^Plus with the extra fundage left over after the move, we could maybe get 2 quake wars servers!!
and the web address for us is vtagaming.com

Sorry to see you leave, but happy to hear we've provided you a good service and you've been pleased with us during your time. Unfortunately there will always be smaller providers willing to offer cheaper prices to get business. We believe we offer the best support and service in Europe and that is reflected in us not being the cheapest out there.
Many thanks for your custom so far and good luck on your new provider!

Not quite following you here. You can have a monthly server contract with Multiplay for any of our gameservers, including our combined "Battlefield series" package. It is only our dedicated machines we currently have a 3 month minimum on.
Hopefully we'll be able to help you guys out again in the future. You know where we are if things don't work out :)

Are you going to be doing quqake wars servers??
Wizzo

Well we certainly intend to. Depends how they plan on doing servers though, whether the dedicated server will be freely available etc. or we have to go through a process similar to EA with the ranked servers.

I hope not, EA are a bunch of ass hats, not to turn this into an EA bashing session, well... and dice for that matter!!!
Lets just hope that activision and splash damage remember who is important!!

I think DICE have little to do with it. Great little company waaay back.
Think most of the ball is in EAs court.

Don't get me wrong, I know EA had a big influence in what Dice released, but Dice should never have let EA dictate when to release stuff!!!
^^Take the half life series approach, done when it's done!!!
Anyway, enough bitching, what is done is done, lets just hope they learn from it!

What like saying the game is nearly ready to get lots of investment, making some bs up about someone stealing the code, then finally releasing the product over a year later.

better to have a late product that does exactly what it says on the tin, than a product that is suppose to be finished and probably has not even been beta tested!!!
