Hangovers.... arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh
and that is really all I have to say about them... you know you have drunk enough when you don't drink anything for 5 days after it!
And trust me cabe you can get a hangover, just drink strawpedo a 3L bottle of Vodka that would do it :D
....well if it don't give you a hangover it will kill ya!

If you drink enough water throughout the night you shouldnt get a hangover.
But remember.. your body can detect alcohol. If you drink lots of spirits neat then your stomach will close (not allowing any to pass through to the intestine) due the high concentration of alcohol. This means you can drink lots of spirits all night and not get too pissed. If you dilute it (with water, beer etc) the stomach will then re-open, allowing it all to suddenly pass through. This is why drinking just spirits all night then drinking water the next morning can be bad (or good, if you look at it that way :D ).
So remember to drink plenty of diluting liquids throught the night so you definatly be able to drive the next day. You dont want to drive pissed.
On average it takes 1hr to remove 1 unit (ie. half a pint of beer (at about 3.5%), 1 glass of wine or a single shot) of alcohol from the bloodstream (time it from when you start drinking). This is pretty much the same for everyone, no matter how much you can drink before you feel pissed. Just try not to get pulled over the next morning. You can still be done for drink driving, even though it was the night before.

Hate to be picky but 1 glass of wine or one shot is 2 units or one pint of beer.

Everything is sold in units.
1 shot of spirits, 15ml (at 40% approx) = 1 unit
1 glass wine, 125ml (at 10% approx) = 1 unit
1 half pint of beer (at 4% approx) = 1 unit
If you work it out, they come to about the same volume of alcohol.
Alcohol is sold by the unit. You cannot buy a measure smaller than a half pint of beer, 1 glass of wine or 1 shot of spirits.

i don't tend to suffer from hangovers, or at least, not in the what i consider normal way, i just get a bad stomach for a day or two. guess that's just my metabolism too?

Drink "clean" spirits such as Absinthe, Vodka, Gin, Pernod etc and lots of water and you wont get a hangover.
