I'd say drop the BS skills til you've got things like Engineering and Electronics to V and all the skills you need for T2 modules (Mechanic V and Hull Upgrades V I think). Heavy Missiles and Heavy Assault Missiles will need to be IV as well.

If you're looking to PvP, aim for T2 Medium Hybrids as well and focus more on Cruiser/Battlecruiser skills until you've got the supports you need for a decent BS. You definitely need all the minimum skills I posted in the skills thread before you can even think about being useful in a BS, don't underestimate the ability to actually use a decent fit especially without raping your cap. Also bear in mind that Navigation skills are your friend when it actually comes to moving the buggers around :)

Chucked Heavy missiles in there since i had forgotten that, and Mechanic V, but i cant think of what i would need Hull Upgrades V for.

the most important peice of information i can provide is only fly what you are comfortable losing. if you cant afford to lose the ship you are in then drop down a ship size. the other reason for this is that while you are getting used to smaller ships you can train the base skills that affect all ships, electronics, engineering, the navigation skills, weapon upgrades and the generic weapon skills (trajectory analysis etc)

secondly, you are caldari so you naturally have a decent set of missile skills and if you are going to stick with caldari ships in general i would level up the weapons that most caldari ships are specialised in, oh and the shield skills :)
