EVE - PVP Footage

For anyone new to EVE and wanting to see some of the PVP fun that can be had:

Downloadable shows of the 2nd Alliance Tournament, held mid 2006, which I think were 5v5 battles. They just had the 3rd Alliance Tournament which finished last weekend (Band of Brothers won), so the downloads are probably available of that somewhere. I'll edit this post if I find them.

Generally the 5v5 stuff is very hardcore, top level PVP, but also its only 5 ships apiece so it can seem a little slow. Bear in mind with the latest update for EVE which went live a couple weeks ago, all ships are now tougher to kill due to increases in Capacitor and things.

But quite shiny footage of things going kaboom :D And a World PVP battle is probably somewhat more intense and adlibbed = more fun.

Tourney stuff is boring, its generally 'pound away looking like nothing much happens til someone runs out of cap and thus loses'.

I disagree, I think it's nice to see how effective certain tactics and modules are in a major skirmish like they are.

Method for eve:

Bomb into a huge gate gank with nothing but a mega full of large tech2 smartbombs, Cap injectors and 1600mill amour plates, Watch as millions of isk worth of tech 2 medium drone go bang, along with any interceptors, (and there pods) that get close ;D

laugh lots,

Then warp the fleet in ;)
