What's Red Steel like?


It's pretty good. The controls take some getting used to. Simple to pick up, take a while to master though.

Cut scenes are very Max Payne like :D

Just adding peoples in now.

I dunno why Red Steel was getting such bad reviews, the controls are a little odd, and if you go too far off-screen they get a little erratic, but on the whole, they're really very good. Very intuitive in parts.
Like opening a door, just wang the nunchuck forward like pushing the door.
the sword fighting does seem a little tacked-on, maybe they've never seen Indiana Jones?
So far, so good. Gonna try our Zelda now, just so I can say I tried all my games on my 1st night.
I've crashed the machine already, tried to view photos from my camera in the photo channel. Bummer.

Strange that you can't bluetooth your photos over, but that could be addressed in firmware, I guess.

Also, a keyboard (BT/USB) would be nice. Maybe it works, I've not tried.

All in all, very impressed, definitely worth the money.

I'm about 20 hours into Zelda and loving it. It takes a good 3+ hours to get past the first dungeon and after that it really starts opening out. It's an awesome game, but you really need to be able to commit time to it.

You have to set them to mingle, its in the same edit screen as there favorite colour.

Not that i have a wireless router yet, dont really see the point until some truly online games appear, might get one when opera gets released.

I'm a bit confused by it, but it seems WiiMiis set to mingle slowly make their way around the network into other friends parades which they can optionally add to their plaza. You can send a Mii out to someone from your plaza and it'll introduce them directly to a friends plaza instead of going to the parade, but you can only do this 20 times a day (presumably to stop spamming).

Yeah I've only added about half the list so far. Haven't found the time to play with the Wii much and when I have it's been Zelda + Monkeyball rather than the Miis. I'll add you when I get a chance and make some more celebs over the Xmas holidays.

Yeah online play just doesn't seem to interest Nintendo atm. Maybe its because their underpowered machines couldnt act as a server and client to host online games you would need actual servers?
