Gow: killing RAAM

Any tips for this? For some reason im finding this bit of the game a lot harder than the rest, cant seem to kill the bugger. Im guessing you need to get to the turret gun and pwn him with that but whenever I get it a few seconds later I get owned by teh Kryll.

This has become irratating after multiple restarts of that section so any tips appreciated :D

Tsunami finished it in insane mode without breaking a sweat, I'm sure he has a few tips ( and yes, he is that good! ).

Rich, Sure can help... I've spoiler tagged the stuff below so people who dont want to read it can ignore :)


Multiplayer (co-op) makes it easier, before going to see him make sure your fully equiped (the final sniper rifle + ammo boxes respawn after a few seconds). One player hopefully has kept the bow from earlier on the train (with full ammo), the other take out the sniper rifle.

Once out on the train, the trick is (and you should of learnt this from level 2) STAY IN THE LIGHT.. The krill cannot kill you or touch you so long as you stay in the light. Using the bow and sniper rifle you should be able to take RAMM down. The bats that surround RAMM protect him, one hit on RAMM with the bow (or any explosives) will cause them to scatter. So one player shoots the bow, the other snipers him in the head (you should be able to sniper twice using active reload before the bats get back). If the bats go to attack, stay in the light they wont touch you, the other player will get a free shot at RAMM.

Oh big tip... Ignore the turret gun, it's in the dark you will die if you try using it.

I think it takes about 10 -> 15 shots in the head with the sniper to kill him :)

Bloody hell, i cant even get out of the 1st stage prison without dying in insane mode!

Completed the game in easy mode tho

I tried doing this for ages, eventually I managed it by using the sniper and then by blind throwing grenades when he was really close

I actually did it (on easy though) using the mounted gun - just waited till just after the kryll attacked, and he died really quickly. I was getting very annoyed with the whole fight though, but I'd pretty much decided other guns didn't hurt him.

Yeah, at one point I thought it might of been one of those trick bosses where you have to do somthing other than shoot him constantly. like the 2nd objective was plant the light bomb or somthing so I thought maybe you set that off first and it pwns everything in site :P

I finished this on Insane a couple of days ago and he's quite a bit harder than he is on Hardcore (...obviously)

I must have died well over 20 times before killing him. This was after completing it on Hardcore as well so I new what I was doing.
