Hey hey, ho ho, it's Havik! Yeah I know most of you probably don't know me, but I'll get right to the point. For awhile now I have had the MPUK assault racing servers on my favorites list (there are only 3 right?). Well recently I was in a game with a few people and we had a problem with a one "Dragoon123" whom of which was team killing people on the map AS-GOD-deathrace (this was taking place on Multiplay UK assault racing server #3). Well a lot of people were calling the admin, And I mean A LOT. Admin calls from everyone left and right. Me? I called the admin once, or was it twice? Once or twice. Next map, GI loan's vehiclerace-v11. I was spectating, eating candy corn. The WebAdmin came along said "Stop whining" and I was promptly banned, with no reason stated. I really shouldn't use harsh language, but in my opinion, that's bull****. I didn't spam the !admin command (which is probably why I was banned). So I think this is a mistake in communication, I would like to be unbanned please.

I managed to get the ban as well on MPUK Server #3 for UT2004. Assault server, if that helps.
I can vouch for Havik that he barely used the admin call. "Dragoon123" was teamkilling the crap out of us after idling for 15 minutes, and several of us were using the admin call to get a hold of someone. After going through an entire game only hearing the MPUK|Kicker bot tell us someone would be with us shortly, of course the admin calls would accumulate.
I was also banned during this session for what I'm assuming is excessive use of the admin call button. Personally, I think the punishment is over the top. A permanent ban after having no warning? Hell, I didn't even know players were supposed to limit the admin calls. The way I saw it, when we type "!admin," some little message briefly flashes on some monitor overseas and if nobody sees it, try again.
Dunno. Had I known that trying to get a hold of the admin too many times was a bannable offense, I would have let Dragoon123 go on teamkilling/idling. A permanent ban for breaking a rule that I've never even heard of seems a bit heavy-handed.

IRC? The only chat I've ever used is Yahoo! Chat, sorry... never bothered to download that stuff. I'm online sporatically, but I'll see if I can find the program.
Until I figure all that jazz out, could you e-mail me? I've got supper cooking on the stove right now, so I'm typing on the fly.
fastchapter@yahoo.com thanks!

Hi guys,
you will both be unbanned from as3 in a few moments. the reason that i banned you is as folows.
upon recieving the first admin call i jumped into the server as a a spec.
so that i could see what was going on without responding as an admin. dragoon was banned as soon as i had enough evidense.
you two were banned for your attitude. calling an admin with reasons like !admin likes cheese. etc (which i do btw)!
so your bans will be lifted momentarily.

Havik should stay banned, he's an annoying stupid little kid who needs to do us all a favor and uninstall his copy of UT2004 immedately.

I does not include/understand why one will obtain a Ban to have called a admin! FRANKLY if players are banished for that I find that it is an ABUSE OF POWER AND INJUSTIFIER. With less better on than the player misuses it.

It was explained further up the thread that the bans were not for the repeated use of admin calls, but for the manner in which they were done, this has now been resolved, the bans lifted, and those affected have learnt their lessons.
