Patch Issues

I've tried downloading the 1.01 patch via the auto-updater 3 times now.... The patch downloads fine, however each time it tries to apply, the patch has failed to complete installation very early on.

Is anyone else having the same issue, or seen it happening?

Yes, alot of people have been having problems patching NWN2. Mine failed twice, and two reinstalls later, it finally managed to download and patch.

Leaving the computer completely alone while its patching seemed to help, but thats just from personal experience.

Have you made sure you have the 7Gb free space available for the patch to install? Alot of patch problems do seem to be related to free disk space

I must have struck lucky then, installed, updated and got playing no problems. HDD space might be a thing, as I recently nuked my pc, so plenty of vacant space :)

One annoying thing I ran into is the need for 1GB space on your system drive while saving. It doesn't use it post save so wtf it's playing at I don't know but I ended up having to shift My Documents to another drive. As for patching, mine was fine first time but yes, check the bioware forums ;)

Can't say I had any of these problems.

I got the game last Thursday (<3 Play pre-order) and both installation and patching were pretty seamless.

And yes, the game is pretty monstrous on HD demands - time to buy another Raptor, methinks.
