Change to google search??

In both firefox and IE7 I can no longer use their inbuilt search bars to search for anything on Google.
I now all the time get redirected to page similar to the following no matter what I search for

Mine works.

Restart your browser, could be the plugins are a bit weird. IE7 and FF2 both use the same format for plugins, OpenSearch.

Or else click the drop down, click add engine and try re-adding Google. It may be a problem with the default plugin. I could have sworn you could edit them in options, but I can't seem to find it.

You could always set your default address bar to Google, so typing in a phrase and pressing enter does a google.

Its working again now, I ran spybot and it did find 2 items even though they were just tracking cookies, I removed both of them and the search works fine again.

"g stuff here" in opera adress bar works a treat ;)

You too can have "g stuff here" in firefox!

Add a new bookmark manually. Call it what you like (Google Search) for example. Next, add the following URL as the location:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%sNext set the keyword to 'g'. OK it, and now you can search.

Similarly, it works for other search engines, just put %s where the search string goes.
