Vauxhalls do kick ass to be fair, cheap parts, pretty sturdy etc. And get a nice TDi and you can go pretty far, pretty fast

I want a DeLorean - obviously to be the BTTF car.
They are deathtraps apparently. Crumple like tin cans in an accident.

Wasent the delorian in BTTF black?
Anyone using that around here in the UK will prob find some chav has damanged it in some way when they get back to it.
There was a police car on ebay once supposidly completly legal if you cover up the P or put a line though POL so its obscured a bit.

Pictures taken at Treasure Park, Redruth on midsummer this year.
Like Guigsy, I watched BTTF2 on Saturday as well. Great fun!

What Delorean doesn't have a flux capacitor?

there is a nice delorean not too far away from me. although i havn't gone by it in a few months.
i'm only going to learn to drive if i can get a delorean. but not with all the **** over it, they only made so many it kinda makes me sick so many people are ****ing them up, sure it's a good film, but when i'm on the motorway i don't want a ****ing coffee bean grinding smashing my windscreen.
i adore back to the future, but it is anoying everyone copying it. if you want to customise your car like that use your own imagination :(

I thought the Delorians were made of tin foil and sticky back plastic, good luck walking away from a crash!?

they were manufactured in ireland and exported to america, but because all the money that was there to build them went up mr. deloreans nose, when they got to america they had to be completely rebuilt.
also, what do you expect. it was made for style, not smashing into people!

It's a close run thing, however, strange fact.... The chap who designed K.I.T.T. designed the Delorean as well :)
KITT was originally designed by Michael Scheffe (http://www.knightrideronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=michael_scheffe%23array), who’s credits also include the Delorean Time Machine from Back to the Future.

The thing with cars that have Swingwing doors (I think thats what they are called?) is that you could never park one in a car park, as the amount of clearence you need to be able to get into / out of the doors without doing a yoga manouvre is huge.

the name for the doors is "Gull wing" due to the appearence of a gull in flight when both are fully open.
and as for the ammount of space, they can open in the same ammount of space (roughly) as a largish car doors fully open

Delorian's only come in silver.
K.I.T.T is made out of 2 cars put together to make, basically a cut and shut.
Switch an E-Type doesn't have gullwing doors, and they aren't worth anywhere near the amount a classic Merc is. Most e-types look nice but underneath they are rusty as hell. (spent many years working in a Jag dealership)
Personally i think one of the best cars ever is
http://www.fotostitch.co.uk/bou2.jpg
Althou it is 35 years old. When new cost more than the E-type.
The newer version is just as nice

With a 0-60 of 3.9secs and 0-100-0 again in 10secs.

Gull wing, indeed.
The amount of space they need to open may be the same as a normal car door, but what you cannot do is squeeze out of a gullwing door. A normal car door, you can open just enough for you to be able to squeeze in and out of, but as a Gullwing door hinges at the top, unless you want to crawl into / out of it, this is why you need more space for Gull wing doors.

The delorian was pure stainless steel if i'm not mistaken, which is part of the reason its handles like ****.
The best car overall ever has to be the Mini.
Allthough the Lotus 7 and its now kit cars are up there as well as the stupidly expensive but perfect Bugatti Veyron
For me any how
Dax Rush with a 1.3 hayabusa engine and evo intercooler. <----Means 0 - Death sub 3 seconds

The gullwing doors on the delorean require 14 inches to open. thats a lot less than your average door ;o
there, just to make it clear.
