When you fill in online forms that ask for an email address for those that don't give their actual what one do u find you always seem to use?
Mine has to be a@b.com, I use it when I quickly need to registered for a download and don't want to end up with lots of mail spam.

I always expect a "Details have been emailed to you, you will need to verify", so I use a dedicated spam sign-up account, courtesy of gmail

I have a hotmail account that everything gets signed up for, but when i am playing around making programs, i tend to use test@test.com so whoever has that domain would be getting alot of spam

If I need to get email from it for whatever reason, I setup an alias to my my account like
suspectedspammercompany1@poddle.net.
This makes it easy to block them if they do go and sell the address.

To be fair though I rarely bother thinking about it, gmail blocks spam so well. It catches 1500 bits of spam every 30 days for me atm ;)

Yeah but the idea is so you dont get it in the first place Spam breeds Spam and the more spam you recieve the more likeleness of it getting though the filter and slowing down your e-mail reading.

Depends which way you look at it, the more I get the more it trains googles spam catchers so other people get less spam :)
I get about 2/3 spam mails that slip through the net each month which I then mark as spam and google can then review and and to the list of zyon.

I perfer the junk hotmail account option "Exclusive"... Only friends on my MSN account can send me emails. Turn it off, sign up (recieved the required email), turn it back on... No Spam! :)

i guessed everyone would get the joke without those highly sophistocated spiderbots that search the web for email addresses, and can even find them if you type name at whatever.com, wanted to protect wizzo's inbox
*wonders if anyone is buying this*

I have noticed that some do check domain names, sometimes these scripts have even blocked me using my real address though.

There are lots of temporary e-mail address makers out there on the net. Stumble keeps showing them too me, basically, you tell it what e-mail you want and set a password, it then sets it up for maybe 2-3hours. Enough time for the site to send the verification e-mail, you read it, and then it closes it down.
Although if I do find a site which has retarded account required to view, I use www.bugmenot.com which has lots of u/p accounts for many sites. There's also a FF addon to intergrate in (Right click on form.. "Login with Bugmenot")
