Last night was one of the worst night for leavers i've played in my DoTA carreer, only one game in the whole day managed to get past about 30 minutes, and we still had leavers in that game and it still ruined it.
On that note, I'm going to start playing more and more dotapickup games. Basically you need to register for an account at http://www.dotapickup.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5337
And then, tell an existing member and they will vouch for you on your thread, and then you just bump it once a day untill you get accepted.
There is a nice rule saying that mates who want to play together have to be allowed to do so, so if theres 5 of us we can just all play on the same team, hopefully without leavers!
Once you get an account / already have one, tell me and i'll make a list here.

hamachi dota tbh Dentist ;)
But i have said it for a while, pickup games or any type of IRC Game is generally better in skill level and alot less leavers so people should try it, its not like its limited to a few ppl that can go play there.. all can join up on a fresh game.

.euro has 1k+ players and games starting every 30 seconds peak time. You do get the occasional leaver but you know you or anyone else there willll never have to play with them again.
dotapickup.euro a very good thing

Hamachi = extreme effort compared to dotapickup :P

actually no, hamachi is stupidly simple to set up and use, whereas getting accepted on pickup.euro is long and drawn out ;) you're just lacking the wide range of players on hamachi
if you want a mix, try ggc (ggclient)

How is !add in dotapickup.euro more difficult than loading hamachi and sorting which vpn you want to use? :P

Sorting what?
All you do is type in gamename and password as if u were joining a TS server and your in and bam, click LAN on WC3.. Really lots of 'sorting' going on there.

once you're actually in the dotapickup chan its not too hard, but getting there is the long and drawn out bit these days. the registration takes forever

(Roshan) hello we decided to make it harder to join with new auths due to heavy abuse. Please refer to http://www.dotapickup.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=49 to get validated (i am a bot, dont expect me to answer)"
My auth is hardly "new" and I didn't even get to type a single line in the channel before being kickbanned.
Damn anal people!

if you played a pickup before they introduced the kicking you can still play, as logn as you are still using the same auth.

By new auths they mean auths that havent played in dotapickup before Andy. Thats why you have to register like i said in my first post :P
If however you should have access, theres a thread somewhere that explains

The hamachi games I've played were worse than bnet. 3 games, various idiots, some fantastic afks led to a very stressful Saturday afternoon for me and Anna.
I'm signed up for pickup, anyone do the honour of bumping me?

Although seeing how many applications they're getting I'm gonna hold my breath.
