The channel PW for DotA is the same as TS.

I prefer sticking with TS. Ventrilo's linux client is somewhat... nonexistant.

Some people prefer Vent, some people prefer TS, I'm just telling people the details for vent when we use it.

Ive always found ventrilo to be a lot more sharp when it comes to chatting. TS2 sounds far more artificial and icky. Im pretty suprised that they havent released a linux version as of yet. Apart from that, i far prefer vent for a simple and clear voice comms program.

I've found that's usually due to ineptness in picking a codec for the channel. If you pick a decent codec, TS sounds incredibly clear.

Well, the highest quality codes in TS are about 1/3rd as clear as the highest quality codecs in Ventrilo, therefore i feel its alot more sharp than TS will be untill they up the codecs.

I just like the higher quality of Vent, people actually sound like they should do on there, rather than the fish in a bowl like on TS. But could just be me..

If you want a public Multiplay vent server, I'm sure we can provide one. Personally I find it annoying software to use and for some strange reason I can't seem to bind my "thumb mouse button" to push to talk on my intellimouse explorer 4.

Not to mention there isnt a 1 second chat delay? So your screaming and then another 20 people start screaming too because they all spoke 1 sec before :P

This isnt me trying to get people to move over to ventrilo because i think it is better, this is because i have a spare ventrilo server and limited etc. have been using the carnival ventrilo which they are sharing with a wow guild i presume.

Therefore, they can now use mine, and limi has admin there to do what he likes with it. Now, if we say we are using ventrilo, people know where to look (Even if they are lazy like Stu :P)
