Ok i've been with AOL for years and years and they have been very reliable for Me. I'm on the gold package 2mb and get a constant 2000kb/s. My clan rents a bf2 ranked server from MP. I have over 800+ hours on this server. My ingame ping has Always been 20 21 22. Last week i noticed my ping was 42 and staying at 42. Done loads of tests (spyware and such like) you name it i tryed it, still the same. Speed tests all fine 2000kb. Up is normal to. Tracert shows 8 hops but i can't remember if it was always 8 or not. Hop No2 always times out. Again this might have always been the case. No sense what so ever from AOL Indian techie. We will get back to you, no reply recieved. I just found out that AOL sells the usage of there proxy/servers/routers to other ISPs. Could this, maybe why my pings increased. ASE shows how low my pings where but after a refresh, adds 20ms to all game servers. So i'm lookin at MPDSL at the mo. Do multiplay use other isps to hop around? What is MP gamer Dsl really like and how does it work. B4 anyone says anythin i know there's no ingame difference between 20ms and 40ms but i'm not happy about this at all.......

Tracing route to mickey.multiplay.co.uk [85.236.101.90]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms router.fbl.me.uk [85.236.105.17]
2 20 ms 20 ms 20 ms gi0-2-0-ar0.sovlon.as35028.net [85.236.110.1]
3 22 ms 19 ms 21 ms po0-1-651-cr0.sovlon.as35028.net [85.236.110.9]
4 21 ms 21 ms 19 ms mickey.multiplay.co.uk [85.236.101.90]

First hop is my home router. I ping less than 20ms all the time.

Most likely they upgraded/regraded some section of their network, and you are now routed differently. If the problem was capacity based you probably wouldn't get a consistent ping like you do - but if you're now travelling a longer route, that would explain your increased ping.

Pasting your tracert here would help.

You should ask AOL if your ADSL line profile is now interleaved.
