View Full Version : An important discovery....

I undertook an experiment to further humankind.

Take one stick of Wrigleys Juicy Fruit chewing gum and one stick of Wrigleys Doublemint chewing gum.

Place one on top of the other and insert into mouth. Chew.

Do you get a minty fruit flavoured gum?

No. You get nothing.

It appears that juicy fruit is the opposite of doublemint and the two flavours do in fact cancel each other out, almost entirely.

Extraordinary.

How do you think of these experiments?

You now need to experiment with the whole Wrigleys range, and include a graph or pie chart as to what happens.

You now need to experiment with the whole Wrigleys range, and include a graph or pie chart as to what happens.

A graph or Pie chart is exactly what you would expect a manager to ask for. It would mean nothing in this experiment. What is needed is a table, one row for each flavour, one column for each flavour. Experiment with the combination of flavours and enter the result in the table.

The important question that is now bugging me is...

Does it matter which one goes on top?

Elbonio

last time i put the juicy fruit on top

this time i didnt

and it didnt really make much difference

either way after a while you get a slight taste of both but it's nothign like what you'd get putting them in individually

Try chewing each stick for 10 seconds and alternate sticks.

A table is no good as you can combine more than two flavours. What you need is a data cube that supports more than 3 dimensions :)

You can, but the original experiment didn't. So a table would do the job. I still fail to see how a pie chart or bar chart would give any useful results.

i think what we need is some kind of trained panda that can read out the results to us and then promptly become extinct.

Yesterday I had a McD's banana shake and LadyU had a strawberry shake.
Half way down, we had the idea of mixing them together to see what the end result would be.

The result was that you get a banana shake that doesn't have quite so much sweetness and is smoother.

ketchup and mayo is SO a no-bits version of Thousand Island sauce. and it's wonderful. It's alongside Gravy as the greatest sauce alive. I'd have it with fillet steak anytime. eat me ryvita.

only if the said bovine is ground into a mince then reformed into patties.

if its straight from the cow it is to be treasured. the only additive allowed is horseradish.

Further to the first experiment.

I have discovered that Cherry Airwaves and unsweetened tea (english breakfast - I used PG tips) tastes like marzipan.

An important breakthrough.

To further that anecdote, I provide the antonymous reaction to toothpaste (mint) and fresh orange juice, I dont know what it tastes like but its wrong....so very, very, wrong.

As for the topping of dead bovine issue, what do you put on this thing at the right???

You are clearly missing the only acceptable addition to deceased bovine, and that would be the same addition to chips....MAYO FTW

On a similar note - Ever realised that tea cancels out any taste -

For example - if you brush your teeth, then have a few sips of tea before drinking orange juice - the taste is normal.
