Hey all.

New BF player here. And I must say that im hardly impressed. Im having real issues logging in to my account, and when that actually works connecting to servers is a non starter.

Lets list through all this periodically.

1. Installed BF2

2. Applied 1.3 patch. This is where the first problem COULD be. During this, I moved my PC to put my Bluetooth Stick in the USB port. I then pushed the PC back and went AFK to let its patching do its work and so i could get a snack. When I pushed it back, i accidentally and never noticed a kink in the tubing of my watercooling system. The waterflow stopped and PC overheated and packed in. I honestly have no idea whatsoever if the patch finished its work and reapplying it gives me an error. But to be honest single player works.

3. Logging in. This is when it gets really awkward. I put in my email address, prefered username and password. It says there is already an account atached to my email address (horse****). And eventually my brother tells me i need to use the same login information that i used to create an account on the ea website about 4 years ago.

Problems dont end here. The first time i click login (on the automatic password remembering thing) it says password incorrect (which it isnt) Then next attempt it either crashes the game....or does log in.

4. Assuming ive even got this far, finally.

The server browser is bloody awful. And when i try to conect to a server, it just bombs out to desktop.

Did anyone else have similar issues, and what did you do to solve them.

EA tech support are about as usefull as a waterproof teabag.

2: just apply the patch again, if there are any files it failed to patch it will just do them
3: seeing as you're a new player with no stats, why not just create a new account? there's no restriction on the number of accounts you have, just that each one needs a unique email address (i don't think the email has to be a real address)
server browser and crashing: you're in the same boat as everyone else

hope that helps

Hey i am new here, as ya can see.
i think its something to do with a port that needs to be open..
if not..
then my problem was solved by unplugging my network cable and installing the ea downloader..then itwhen it asked for my password and user name i would just plug it straight back in then hit log in..

Dont know if it was any use to ya.
as i know how much of a wet teabag EA really are.
