i got a book for my birthday from my brother that gives the history of the demoscene back in the early days, "Freax", which is a really good read. really impressive stuff, i'm sure some of it would make some modern 3d coders curl up in a corner and cry going by what they achieved on the hardware at the time. every now and then i take a look at the eyecandy on scene.org for the modern equivalent

I think the king of all the old Amiga demos was widely agreed to be 'A Desert Dream'. I'll try and rake it up, I saw it on the net somewhere at this other demo website, but it still looks good today!

I remeber getting "Demomaker" on a demo disc from Amiga Format one time and i spoent hours on the thing, making a flythgouh landscape, adding music etc
was great
I have my Amiga 1200 still set up next to me right now. Love it.

Also dont forget for the first few seasons all of th Babylon 5 space scenes were done on Amiga
