Those F***ing Car flag

Dunno how anyone else feels about it but i bloody HATE those crappy england car flags they look so s**t why the hell would you want to have a flag on your car when everyone in England would be supporting England alwayz, its kinda pointless, its like having a flag with your name or one saying i drive a car....whats the point!?!
The only place i think its worth having england flag everywhere would be pubs just to show they will have the matches on.

One car cracked me up they clearly didn't notice that the flags had come off and all they had was 2 sticks showing lol

i'm not really big on football but i will watch the England games i guess, but as soon as we get kicked out them flags with be everywhere in the road :P

Blast, i can't find it. Nivek linked a funny spoof RAC warning about these flags. Agreed though, they are silly, but at least people are patriotic i guess.

Dear motorist,

In order to assist other motorists in identifying potentially dangerous
drivers, it's now compulsory for anyone with a lower than average
driving ability to display a warning flag ...

The flag (comprising of a red cross on a white background) will be
attached to the top of at least one door of their vehicle.

However for drivers of exceptionally low ability, additional flags are
required.

The answer is a scary amount. If I remember correctly it was something like (on an average car) 0.1 MPG. That doesn't sound that bad but when you add up all the cars that are displaying them...

at one point i felt like getting one and replace the flag with a msg such as "Car flags suck/are S**t!" But would make sure to take it off when i leave my car anywhere lol but then i though nah its not worth the extra petrol :P

Last week i was driving on the dual carriageway behind a car which had 2 of these flags, then 1 of the flags decided to leave said vehicle and narrowly missed my car.

In short i HATE them.

The news yesterday was saying that some ppl with these flags are spending upto £1.00/hr on fuel costs and with the current cost of the fuel flying these flags is that last thing ppl should be doing.

So if you are going on long journeys then the fuel price will be sky high.

Also I think these flags are actually illegal, it came about last Euro cup many local authoritys have been stopping traffics and making them take their flags down.

Nothing wrong with being patriotic and showing your support for the country. It's nice to beable to see so many people proud to be flying our flag, this country could do with some patriotism. Everywhere you look people are getting told not to fly OUR flag because apparantly it is racist as it has connections to the crusades or some other crap. I for one wish that everyone flew our flag with pride, be it from their house or on their car.

As for having the flags on cars reducing fuel efficiency, yeah guess what, so does having the windows open! lets all drive around all summer with the windows closed! Oh, but don't turn the air conditioning on instead, because that'll use more fuel as well!

Any way, i heard on the radio the other morning that there are 5 of those England flags per mile on the A13 in Essex. At the time i was driving down the A13 into work and i didn't see any all the way :confused:
