I've lost my connection at least 10 times in 2 days to them. No idea why, first real problems I've had in months. It just died then for 10 minutes and wouldn't reconnect until now.

Are you with in the first 10 days of getting maxdsl?
if so this is normal, short disconnects do happen as the system retrains it self.
It can take a couple of days to the full ten depending on the condition of your line.

Hi there,
Doing a trace to our server from here is not to bad, I've not noticed it to slow tonight?

| WinMTR statistics |
| Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last |
|------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------|
| 192.168.1.254 - 0 | 110 | 110 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| fa0-0.adsl-1.as35028.net - 0 | 109 | 109 | 16 | 22 | 94 | 16 |

| dedicated10.multiplay.co.uk - 0 | 109 | 109 | 16 | 23 | 141 | 16 |

And this is from so far in to Cornwall we are almost in the sea ;)

I'm not sure if you have Max but if so, these kind of problems are to be expected whatever the isp, I don't plan on getting Max since I spent 95% of my online time playing games so the instability just wouldn't be acceptable.

This might change over time, but I just keep reading to many unhappy posts from people who have got Max on websites such as adslguide and it puts me right off.

Tsunami you are on MAX. Give it 10 days for the training period to go through before making any judgements.

A single trace is also not really enough to draw any conclusions from. You should use something like WinMTR (http://winmtr.sourceforce.net) to do a continuous trace for a few minutes. This enables us to see the performance of the hops over time. Also you should ignore individual hops packet loss if the next hop is fine, as many routers on the internet respond slowly to ICMP directed at them not through them (such as on a trace).
