BT do not state any contention on MAX products. They now talk about an "end user experience expectation" and other such nonsense :)

Problem is the UK broadband public have been spoiled with no sign of contention on previous broadband products despite them being quoted. When was the last time you noticed contention of 50:1 on you 512k line for example (i.e. downloads running at 1KB/s). Problem is this has now setup the public to expect full line-rate all the time out of broadband, and we're now starting to see this not being the case with IP MAX. You can expect at busy times on your exchange/BT's network for you to not get full rate out of an IP MAX line.
