Ok - just a few questions...
Hardware Prizes from Sponsors - What sponsors?
Gaming Workshops - What exactly is this?
Food Available 24 hours :-)
A Full Bar :-))))))
Special Hotel Rates (you don't have to stay in a hotel) :-)
A bus maybe available from your area I live in the MIDDLE of no-where - no buses EVER come here :p
Full media coverage You can garentee (SPELLING?!?)
1GHz Backbone [b]You mean 1gbit?
And what sort of general region? I live near Newbury if you want to plan around it (I can probably get about 10 gamers (NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MPUK)
Thanks..

Exeters a good place for lans. It has westpoint, that'd do it :)

Firstly sorry about the delay in getting back to you, weekend was shall we say a little heavy ;)
>>Hardware Prizes from Sponsors - What sponsors?
I don't want to name names until we know exactly how many people are attending but, we have had firm offers from: AlienWare, Hercules, AMD and another processor manufacturer who don't wish to be identified.
>>Gaming Workshops - What exactly is this?
A couple of people I have met at some lan parties want to spend some time practicing certain things and learning new skills etc, primarily I was thinking along the lines of B&W and strategy games, but if there is enough of an interest maybe someothers as well. This is more of an Idea that this stage than a definate feature.
>>Food Available 24 hours :-)
Yummy
>>A Full Bar :-))))))
A popular decision.
>>Special Hotel Rates (you don't have to stay in a hotel) :-)
We have four hotel chains that will provide us with some discounts, but these again depend on numbers.

All spelling is final and will knot bee changed unles otherwize specified. :)

Great!
Newbury area seems favourite at the moment, we have had about 400-500 people say they are interested, but we need to start firming up numbers so we can book somewhere. One of the other ideas suggested was to run two simultaniously, my employer can provide a point to point leased line on a temporary basis, which might be cool.
Ho hum back to work.......

I fear that I have already had this discussion before, and a temporary (MAXIMUM 2WEEKS) leased line of about 1mbit was going to cost a BOMB just to set up. Dunno if you can get it cheaper cause of your employer?
I don't mean to sound like I am putting you down, cause I am not, I just like to let myself know what I am getting into :p
