View Full Version : Connection Date?

My connection with MP is due to migrate on the 18th of this month ...my order was submitted on May 3rd. I thought this was an excessive amount of time to wait (its actually pushing me into paying my current ISP for another month)...and am now more alarmed to see that other people migrating from my current ISP are getting connection dates with other ISPS much much sooner than mine! (despite recieving their MAC's later)

I have also checked here:
http://www.dslzoneuk.net/order_tracker.php
This checks the BT system, and it shows there are no orders against my line ...which worries me more.

Any ideas?

I have also emailed support with this issue ....but am posting here incase someone else can enlighten me.

I had the same, mate I got my mac key today with nildram, and ordered the Ip Max Premium with
Multiplay and have been given a date of the 22nd,which also seems like a long time, when its normally 10 working days usually and can be less,I was told on the phone that theres nothing multiplay can do and this is down to the Isp (nildram),I don`t wish to pay for another month with Nildram either:(

I did reply to binary slave earlier on this morning. I've raised a ticket about this to get it clarified quite why there are no install jobs against his line yet.

I was concenred myself primarily with the date of the 22nd given as I dont wish to pay Nildram another penny for their

1) Shoddy customer support
2)96% to 98% packet loss

and more importantly Im just looking forward to being with a service provider so i can game at good latency
without massive packet loss again, in the upcoming kuhliga and clanbase comps which start very soon.

I didnt want to sound selfish, just was hoping to be moving a bit sooner then the 22nd of May as thats longer then the 10 days It usually takes.

Binary, did you get migrated yesterday? I was supposed to be migrated yesterday too but am still on my old ISP and the old 448 upload, not the increased upload of the premium package. Just waiting for a reply to my email about this :(.

/edit. It appears that I have been migrated, but Enta are looking into a a glitch at their end with upgrading me to the premium upload speed on my line.

Well, I was still connected to my old ISP yesterday morning, so just tried connecting with the MultiPlay details and it worked. The connection never even droped ...was a strange kind of migration though as I was already using enta (via evolution) so i guess i was already on the enta network. I would bet that if i use my evolution login now, i'd still be able to logon aswell....

Exactly the same here. Setup the MPUK details last thing weds night as I needed to be able to access from work yesterday and found that the details were already live. After worrying that leaving myself connected already was affecting the migration I switched back to Evo and that worked too! I have been told just leave the MPUK details in now since they work and hopefully soon my line will be sorted properly by Enta/BT for the 832 upload instead of the 448.
