Clan member cant join our BF2 server

Hi there,

I was wondering if you could help me. We have a clan member who up until recently could join our MP bf2 clanserver. He now gets the message "Your network connection has failed, please try again" every time he tries to join our server. I asked him to try and join another Multiplay Server and he cant join any MP servers at all, but can join all other servers.

I got him to ping the server through cmd prompt and he can do so no problem at all.

His current IP is 86.143.76.38

Any pointers?

Could be the AMD Dual Core problem possibly if he has one ?

Get him to load up BF2, switch back to Windows Desktop and bring up Task manager, Right Click BF2.exe and set affinity to only one CPU.

Dunno other than that.

reinstall the game, usually gets rid of a lot of bugs like that for me

Yep, looks like a dodgy patching session. He re-installed and it worked. Thanks for your comments :)
