Hi
I am interested in getting Multiplay Broadband and I am a new user so dont have a MAC code. I like to know if you will be charging me any Joining fees for New users who are not migrating?
Also Please explain the Monthly contract in more detail as your website doesnt have much info about the contract. What happens if I need to leave you after a month if I dont like the service? Will there will be any penalty or will I be just getting my MAC code and can walk away without any obligations?
Regards

For new activations there is an activation charge of £60 Incl. VAT. Unfortunately BT charge this for all new activations (to all ISPs) and we are therefore forced to pass this cost along.

And yes, it's a minimum 1 month contract. If you decide you want to go elsewhere we will issue you a MAC code on request after the first month is up. :)

Hi
Thanks for the immedeate reply. So if we have the MAC code it will be a free migration right. Ok I like to mention that I was in PlusNet internet 2 months ago and due to my long vacation and changing address I disconnected the DSL connection in an old address and now I have moved into a different address with a different phone No. If I get the MAC address from PlusNet and give it to you will you be able to connect me without charging 60£?? If so I will immedeately contact plusnet for a MAC code.

I'd be surprised if you can get a MAC code if you have already been disconnected, and i think as it's a new address, you would have probably had to pay again to have this connected in the first place which it doesn't sound like you did. I'd imagine the whole point of a migration is that BT don't really have to do much as you are already connected or not in your case.
