I aint played BF1942 for ages now (atleast 2 years). ut I was just cleaning my harddrive out and found a vid of catachan's dog fights which put me all the mood to dig out my copy.
I have installed the game, and gone hunting for the latest patch. I found it to be a 267Mb patch which I have just downloaded from the MPUK FTP, patch name bf1942_patch_v1.6.19.exe. The patch has been installe fine so I then set out to join a random server just to get controls set up etc, using the all seeing eye I found the server Multiplay.co.uk ::*uca*1942|23ms|85.236.100.20:14767. I tried to join this one and it tells me I have the incorrect game version and would I like to update. If I click Update it takes me back to the multiplay game selection.
In the bottomm right of the screen it does say BF194 V1.6.
No I presume my version is 1.60 ? if I look at the version of all the servers running they are listed as 1.61 ?? is their a small fix/patch out there that I am missing, doesnt seem to exist on EAs site or mpuk ftp. Any assitance pls?
