Hoping you guys might be up for a game of dota this weekend maybe show me how to play for a start :) just got frozen throne so ill be installing this morning/afternoon today

just on a quick note i downloaded dota from getdota site but it isnt an exe so where does it go and do i need to download an installion file ?

You want to drop the .w3x file in \Warcraft III\Maps\download

If you ever connect to a different game it will download it to there for you too - You'd might get away with this at a lan, but this is frowned upon online :)

As for a game, join #mpukdota on quakenet and theres usually some people there up for a game

Aw shame i'm away til tuesday :( If you ever want to host a game you need to make sure you have port 6112 forwarded to your pc for both UDP and TCP :) Get ts installed too.. the guys in #mpukdota will be able to tell you the channel password etc
