there is no smoking anywhere inside the building as for the cost of beer i think its something you will need to find out on the night

Yeah no smoking in the buildings etc.
Im also pretty sure you cant smoke at the bar either.
Before people go off on one, most people at the event are non smokers and despite 2 billion polls on the matter saying no to smoking, this always seems to come back up :) Also it'll be law soon, so best start getting used to it :)
As for pint prices its normally somewhere between 2.50 and 3.50 depending on what you are drinking.
Hope that helps!

Living in Oxford myself I can tell you the best way to newbury is via train, which will go to Reading first.
But if you are coming from London, then you might as well get a train from there to reading then on to Newbury, it will work out faster and probably cheaper, rather than using the Oxford Tube (a service I know well : ).
edit: and in case you think of it, no I can't give you a lift - I don't drive!

I live in Didcot and I find the best way to Newbury is to get your wife to drive you and then pick you up when it's all over!
Saves on money but unfortunately you have to talk to her so it all evens out! :p:

Considering he's selling cigarettes you would think he could spell 'smoking' correctly.
Also Afty are you bored of using that word yet?
You know the one that conjures up images of playing football on a pitch that removes your skin whenever you tackle.

SMOKING - Is it OK ?
I smoked for 15 years.
Am I a over-rated 're-formed smoker'? - No thanks ?!?!
This is the 1st forum that I have activley replied to for a matter that involved smoking.
I was the 'mate' that could NEVER stop smoking.
HERE HERE....!!
Apparently, I am now the 'PREACHER'!!
I have subsequentley put 'smokers' into 4 FIRM categories.
Category 1 - FULL-TIME smoker - 15-25+ per day
Category 2 - 5-10 a day (maximum - dont kid yourselves if you are trying to cut down!!)
Category 3 - Only smoke when you are pissed (do not have 1 or several drinks EVERY night of the week, just so you can smoke!?!?!? - ****ING LOSER'S!!)
Category 4 - NON-SMOKER
I was a certain category 1 for at least a decade. I had family DIE around me with smoking related diseases.
Did I stop - NO.
I tried the old 'happy new year' thing, where i smoked like a trooper (like normal) and then threw 16 fags down the drain after the clock struck 12. - We had a 24 hour Tesco round the corner - no CIGAR!!!
I read a book by a bloke called ALAN CARR (available on Amazon.co.uk) which changed my life.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0140277633/026-6256952-3961265
I AM NOT A SOPPY NOB THAT GOT ALL RELIGIOUS/EMOTIONAL AND TURNED TO SOME WIERDO DOCTOR!!!!
This book REALLY does work.
I SWEAR that this book can work for you. I am in no way (beside the fact that I read it) associated with this publication whatsoever.
If you have a SLIGHT incling that you may wish to STOP smoking (not QUIT - you will find out these defintions) then this is the next step for you.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give this book a try - it will only cost you a tenner (about 2 packs of fags).
EVERY single person that i have recommended this book to has STOPPED smoking - completely UNAIDED of patches/gum etc.
THIS IS THE FUTURE.
STOP in your own time - BEFORE the government TELLS you to.
Be your own person.
IT'S SOOOOOO EASY - TRUST ME.
What is the worst that can happen - you get ripped off for a tenner - oh well!!!
2 packs of dirty fags then (that will soon be illegal)
I am now a FIRM - Category 3.
I ONLY have smoked when I am pissed - I have smoked LESS than 10 fags since December 22nd 2005.
Good Luck
(Oooops Sorry - u won't need it!!!!)
See ya.

How can you put a SMOKER into catagory 4. ie 'NON SMOKER'..you're either one or the other
/me spots a sales pitch
EDIT:
ooh.. also.. if its "IT'S SOOOOOO EASY " to stop smoking.. how comes you still smoke?

You know the one that conjures up images of playing football on a pitch that removes your skin whenever you tackle. Not really, the word has more than one meaning now it's in regular use in the online community.

oh well you may have slowed how much you smoke but you have still caused permanent irrepairable damage to your body over the decades.

Recent studies have shown that regular addicted smokers giving up smoking before they are 30 can see a reduction in the likelihood of smoking related cancers of up to 95% compared with other smokers who do not give up by the time they are 30, indicating that giving up or cutting down can mitigate the damage to your body by quite a significant amount...

I happen to have a list showing the approximate time for damage to be reversed based on how long you have been smoking afty. It really is a stupidly long time. And it really is only if you stay away from second hand smoke and everything else too. Which is bloody hard.
Sorry if it did sound spiteful didn't mean it to :p

Sad as it is, i had to reply
I second the comment about the book by Alan Carr...tried 10 times to give up, smoked for about a decade extremely heavily ( a nicorette patch around your roll up is a real morning starter), but after reading that book, it really did change my way of thinking..havent smoked for 4 years now...
p.p.s cigarettes werent my main smoke of choice......it is a good book if you really despair at wanting to quit but find it very tough,....
enough from me, back to FPS for the RAGE $"%$"%$"£
